Bio and Links
Bio Photo We completed a survey of all known cemeteries in McMinn County plus transcribed McMinn County death certificates from 1914-1955.
Surnames we are reseaching: Marvin's lineage = Templin, Click, Bryant, Sisk, Smith, Waddell, Gross. Samme's lineage = Carpenter, Simpson, Hutsell, Julian, Warren
Whenever we go out to fill a request, we try to take photos of a few of the surrounding burials. Never know when you might help someone find a lost relative. We also take tombstone pictures of any veterans we see, as we try to honor ALL VETERANS regardless of when they served.
A big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave volunteers who have taken tombstone pictures for us.
Our latest project is helping FAG member Tom Brocher (#47674416) upload tombstone pictures for Golden Gate National Cemetery. Always glad to honor our veterans.
When asking for a memorial transfer, PLEASE use "Edit" then "Suggest A Correction" instead of posting message here. Thanks

Mary Storer
You sent this message to me:

Have a question Storer Cemetery, Highland Co............saw where you had posted several tombstones there and just wondered if you took all readable stones? I have a request for Mary Storer who died in 1900.
Thanks for all your help, it is greatly appreciated.
Samme Templin

My response: yes, I took photos of all headstones that remained. I am sure there are some which are buried under the dirt but we didn't disturb them. Grandma Patti

Norman Ray Durman
His grave marker shows Ray N. Durman. You have assumed his name was Raymond; that is incorrect. Actually his birth name, as shown on his birth certificate, was Norman Ray Durman.

Thank you,
George W. Durman

I appreciate your message for Nancy ( Lemon ) Honel , on her photo request for Washington Cemetery ...

I am confident that she is buried there, her death certificate says she is buried there , and her second husband Eli Honel is buried there .

Appreciate the message , however I am sure she is buried there .

Carol Muery
Hello. Thank you for the photograph of Ernestine Pearman's headstone. Ernestine was our neighbor for many years and was a delightfully spirited lady.
Also, thank you for volunteering as a Find a Grave photographer.

Best wishes,
Carol Muery

RE: Ernest Templin
I suspect Edna was married previously. It is difficult to check Crown Hill since the site is down due to revamping. The last time they revamped their system the guy in charge took FOREVER.

Ernest married Edna May Brummet on 12/7/1916 and then married Christeen Parmerlee on 11/12/1919.

I suspect Edna & Ernest divorced as her name was Edna Baker when Ernest and Edna's son Ernest (Jr) married Joyce Barton in 1950.

What fun all this is.
