Hometown of Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago. I now live in Boise, Idaho. Since July, 2015 I've worked for Cloverdale Funeral home in Boise, ID. Prior, I've been a paramedic since 1978, as an EMS provider, manager, educator, and in communications. I've been photographing cemeteries and grave sites for over 15 years. I have developed a presentation on the art and symbolism of gravestones and cemeteries which I give through the city's Community Education system and at genealogy/ family history conferences, and to various historical groups. I also give historical tours of cemeteries in Boise.|
PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" TOOL THROUGH FINDAGRAVE FOR ANY CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS. Requests to add obituaries to entries will have them edited to meet F.A.G. guidelines, mentioning no living relatives. If possible, please provide evidence of your edits. I've been burned a few times with inaccurate information.
I'm always available to photograph graves in the Boise/Ada County, Idaho and surrounding areas. My ISP doesn't send me photo requests for some reason, but feel free to e-mail me directly if you have any requests. Before you send me corrections to entries, please make sure it's my entry and not just my photo on the entry.

Mr. Habben - I'm writing a mini-article about the Judith Ries memorial stone erected to her great-grand uncle Edward C. O'Kelley in Patton, MO..... This is for the non-profit Wild West History Association JOURNAL.
Would you allow me permission to publish your photo of Ed's tombstone in Fairlawn in this article?
Hey do you lookup obituaries too? Because one of my distant cousins died in Boise, ID, and her name is Randena Darlene (Thress) Hemingway.

|Karen F. Armstrong||Hello|
I hope this note finds you doing well.
I went to Gavit HS with you, and I see your name on Find A Grave. My grandparents and great grandparents are at Oakhill where I know you have done many photos. I go to cemeteries all over the USA and in other countries as I follow my family tree and that of my husband.Many thanks for your photo contributions.

To make him "famous" on findagrave, I will need your help and from others. Go to the bottom of his memorial page and vote on how famous he was. I will need five more votes.

|Mark's Mark||RE: Hillside Cemetery|
Thank you so much for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated and means a lot to me. The Hillside Cemetery is what really got me going on Find A Grave.
I though it was so disgraceful the condition of the cemetery and the complete lack of respect vandals have for the people buried there.
When I found a transcription that was done in 1957, I thought how wonderful this person Vera took the time to record over 1200 headstones, if she hadn't done so we would never know the people buried there.
Thank you for the work you also do. It's people like you that make Find A Grave a wonderful site.
I also deleted some of my original photos of the Calligans (they were from 2006, taken on my phone's camera) so that you can add your pictures.
Take care my Find A Grave friend. God bless you and keep you safe.
Bernice (Mark's Mom)
Thomas E. Avent is listed in two different cemeteries. Could you check on this?

Many thanks for taking the time to find the grave of Thomas Satterfield and take pictures and post them. It helps with our family research.
