|I have explored the history of my family for more than twenty years. I am fortunate that my grandparents saved pictures, shared many stories and had an appreciation for the past. Credit also goes to Great Aunt Lucile for getting me started on serious research. It is a treasure hunt that never ends!|
I will be happy to transfer family members to you, if they are not a family member of mine.
April, 2012-- I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Rice Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri, based on the roster from 1974. I have added some that were overlooked in the roster, or were buried later. I tried to find information about every person, and hope I have made a meaningful tribute to each of them.
Winter, 2012-- Cousin Roberta McReynolds and I have completed the addition to Find A Grave, all graves not already listed for Long Cemetery, Dade County, Missouri. Roberta also searched Missouri Death Certificates to document burials without gravestones. We believe we have photographed and added all stones with names on them to Find A Grave memorials.

James M Brotherton Parents were Thomas Frank Brotherton 1849 – Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Maness 1849 – 1903. Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Maness 3rd cousin 2x removed Birth 6 Feb 1849 in Scott County, Virginia, USA Death 17 Feb 1903 in Lee, Fairfax, Virginia, USA (James brother William Brownlow Brotherton also moved to Missouri)
The Missouri death certificate #15038 is incorrectly filled out by his son Thomas L Brotherton. His grandparents died when he was young.
His brother name was George and his mother remarried after her husband's death (dated unknown) to Samuel Perry Catron which is like the name on death certificate Carliston.
However his brother lived longer so the James son might written down the wrong name. George H. Brotherton Birth 22 May 1877 in Virginia, USA Death Jul 1970 in Kyles Ford, Hancock, Tennessee, USA. I know my mother died in 2011 and my sister put down my mom's brother as her father.
Also: James was the 3rd husband of Elsie

Thanks for filling my photo requests!

This is Anita Roberts from the Library Center.
You were kind enough to share some of Lucille's photographs with me in the past.
I am currently finishing up a book on Branson and planned to use some of her pictures in it. Would you like me to credit Lucille or Pam Jones?
I could not seem to find your phone number in my phone (but I have changed phones a couple of times).
You have done an amazing job on Find A Grave! Wow! Wish I had the time to do all that with our family tree.

|Sara||84083640 - Fannie Patterson Palmer|
Thank you for your entry for Fannie Patterson Palmer. Fannie and John A Blankenship were married after son Wilburn was born. James H Blankenship was my grandfather. I always wondered what happened to Dean Palmer after Fannie's death. I can't find a death certificate for him. Are you related to this family?

|Gregory S.||Oran Emrich|
When I wrote "he" I meant Oran Emrich- sorry for the mix up. Oran wrote about my ancestor John Michael Emmerich/Emerich- the last name seemed to change with each document. Sometimes one ancestor had three different spellings recorded. I think my ancestry in the Emmerich/Emrick/Emerich branch stayed in PA until the late 1800s when they moved to northern Ohio (Cleveland area)- where most of our family still is.
I still really appreciate all of the research Oran did of my ancestry.
|Bill Buchholz||RE: Albert Mueller|
The only information I have is:
It is believed Melchoir came to the United States from Switzerland with his family as a young man. At this time his parents are unknown.
Melchior married Sophie Geiger January 19, 1860 at St Peter and Paul Cathedral, St Louis, Missouri. He was a worker on the construction of the Eads Bridge in St. Louis over the Mississippi River. Building of the bridge began in 1868 and was finished in 1874.
In the 1900 Clinton County, Illinois Census he is listed as Michael Mueller, age 64. He is listed as being in the United States 52 years, but is not a citizen. He is a widow with six children at home. Son Bernard age 26, is a farmer; Anna age 25; Lena age 22; Henry age 20, is a cigarmaker; Michael age 19, is a blacksmith and John age 16, is a farmer.
The 1920 Clinton County, Illinois Census says "Mike" spoke German. Age 83, he was living with his son Bernard and family.
I have nothing on his children excep Albert
