RE: Cemetery question
Hi Carolyn,
The "official" name is Walnut Creek Cemetery based on Seward County Historical Society records...Morford was a name that the locals used many years ago. I created Walnut Creek and listed the memorials via official cemetery records from the society. Long story short: the other contributor who created Morford has a "bee in her bonnet" about burials I've created and has refused to honor the fact that my listings were created first. She claims she has more information about each but refuses to share any of it. I had forgotten about this until you mentioned it and will contact Find A Grave admin about removing/consolidating Morford to Walnut Creek.

Thanks Carolyn, it would be great to have her obit. It makes me no difference how you want to do it. Which way comes out better? I'll let you decide. Denise

Thank you so very, very much for posting her obituary. My family is so happy to have this information. She was a missing puzzle piece.

I added a photo of the Reepsholt church book page on which Hermann/Harm/Harmon appears. I'm just letting you know so you know its there in case you would prefer not to have it or would like to adjust the sort order.

RE: Mira Barber
Hello Carolyn, I am no relation, I just like connecting as much family as I can. I got pics for Tourtelot parents today, and daughter Mollie May Hadine, who is in their plot. I really like looking into the history of people from Lincoln's History, I remember Ben Simons well! Thanks, Kevin.

Mira Barber
Hello Carolyn, I posted the picture for Mira. In everything I find for her before she was married, she is Josephine Mira Tourtelot. I requested a few edits for her family connections, her husband was right next to her but name spelled Baker on Fiindagrave. Her parents are in Wyuka also, and I will get pictures for them later today. The only child of theirs I couldn't find a memorial for is Barbara Kennedy who passed in Ithaca New York. She passed before her husband W. Keith Kennedy(a very high up at Cornell University) did in 2011. Thanks. Kevin

Joiner Cemetery
Hello. I visited Joiner Cemetery today and it's a sad sight. I did manage to find Floretta's headstone (Memorial # 37876276) among others, but this place needs to be cleaned up. I was comparing the pictures I took alongside the ones you took back in 2009 and what a huge difference! Do you live near this cemetery? I would be very interested in volunteering to help get this place back in shape.
