Bio and Links
Bio Photo First, I would like to point out that the photos on the memorial pages are thumbnails and will open larger if clicked on; and they will usually open larger twice more if you click twice more.
If you want to use any of my photos for your family tree, you have my permission.
I am shy about going to cemeteries through private property and I avoid really large cemeteries in hot weather.
Otherwise, I am happy to help.
If you want me to delete one of my photos so that you may add a better photo - no problem.
My husband and I don't have a relative, living or dead, south of Little Rock, Arkansas. My Deep South memorials are not my people.
My list of PET PEEVES:
1) Moldy old silk flowers.
2) People who don't say thank you.
3) Fire ants and wasp.
4) Too much herbicide around tombstones.

Re: Benjamin and Wolf burials at Dispersed of Judah
Thank you for your thoughtful and informative message. (I'm not familiar with the Moise family you've researched, but am now interested in reading more about them.) I have done a good bit of research on the Wolf-Benjamin family, especially Alice's husband and brother-in-law. I would be very happy to manage the memorials you've created for Alice, her husband, her brother-in-law, and her parents, if you would like to transfer them to my account (#47195666). Thank you again.

Re: Birth date for Alice Martin Benjamin Wolf buried at Dispersed of Judah Cemetery in New Orleans
Peachy,

The JewishGen Online Burial Registry (JOWBR), like all online databases, contains errors. Just yesterday I discovered that a child named Gilbert Jacob was listed there as Jacob Gilbert—and another child whose surname was Gilbert was listed there under the surname Silbert.
I’m sorry that the message I sent you via the SAC tab did not reach you. Alice Martin Benjamin Wolf's birth date, according to the Hebrew calendar, is inscribed in full on her gravestone—a photo of which is now posted to her memorial. The Hebrew date, "Heshvan 28th 5605," converts to 10 November 1844 in the Gregorian calendar. (See Stephen P. Morse's "Jewish Calendar Conversions in One Step" at http://www.stevemorse.org/jcal/jcal.html.) Transcribed records of the Sephardic Congregation in Kingston, Jamaica, confirm that Alice Martin Benjamin, daughter of Benjamin and Hannah Benjamin, was born there on 11 November 1844. See _Jamaican Family Search_, Genealogy Research Library, Births of the Sephardic Congregation[,] Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies (http://www.jamaicanfamilysearch.com/Members/jewb01.htm), Register of Births, for Alice Martin [Benjamin], (10 November 1844).
Thank you for creating memorials for Alice, her husband, her parents, and her brother-in-law.

Arry Mapes Pittman
Thank you very much for taking the photos of Arry Mapes Pittman grave site. She is the sister of my grandmother Lizzie A (Mapes) Brumfield. She was married to Morgan Collier Brumfield.

I had previously found her in the 1940 census married to Marley Pittman. She is shown in earlier Census records the daughter of Joseph Young Mapes. It is very difficult to locate Joseph's ancestors other than his Mother Harriet Mapes.

Thanks again, you have been very helpful.

No, that's ok. You were so swift to do the edits, I appreciate it. It's when we wait almost a month, that bothers me. They are not direct but distant cousins. Just trying to link the entire family together. Thanks for your work and time making them. God Bless.

Hi. I am the 2nd great-grandson of George and am wondering if you'd be willing to transfer his memorial to me. I understand if you are family as well, as it seems you have taken over from my grandmother's cousin Phil Smiley. Let me know if this is possible. Thank you.
