Busy researching my family history and that of my bride's! I am a 3 year member of F-A-G and helping out where I can. Transcribing cemeteries with photographs is my specialty. I am back in the automotive business! BUY AMERICAN! SUPPORT AMERICAN JOBS!|
FYI: Any and all the photos which I take and post on FAG are free for the taking! I will always allow another person to copy and use the photos for their personal use, posting on ancestry.com or any other geneaology website. I am glad that you found the photo which you needed and are able to use that photo in your family research. We are all God's children .. he can see without a camera .. the rest of us need all the help which we can provide for each other. May God Bless you!

By any chance, do you have any relation to Fred Bascom Looney. He is buried in the Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Caldwell Co., North Carolina.
|Michael Mayberry||RE: Dicy Louella Mikeal Clark(e)|
You are so right. So I put her name Dicy (Louella) (Louellen) Mikeal. Since Dicy was a several times used name in the family, I used that spelling. Most of the censuses for Wesley and his father used Clarke and since his headstone has that spelling, I used that, even though the death records didn't. But Amen to asking them in the Promised Land! May we be there soon! God Bless you with a great day. Michael Mayberry

Thank you so much for adding the photo for Kenneth Burton and for also adding the memorial for Kathleen. I greatly appreciate all your time, help and generosity!

Three family trees have Dicy's middle name as Louellen. Her find a grave memorial has Louella. Can you verify which is correct? Thanks for your help. Michael Mayberry

I received your message about the discrepancy in death dates & name. It looks like I made a typo on her maiden name so I did change the spelling. I will put a note on the page about the death year. It is sometimes hard to know what is correct as sometimes stones are put up years after the actual death date. I usually go back to the earliest census records and assume that year matches most closely and in her case the records most often indicate her birth year as being around 1860. (My 2nd great grandmother's year of birth varies by 11 years depending on where you look.) I will let you know if I need more photos. I am actually photographing Hawfields cemetery and added her son's photo to his page. I always like it link family together when I can, hence these pages for the McGee family. Thanks again!

Thanks, Bradley, for adding the marker pictures to the memorials that you created for the Crumps. I really appreciate what you have done in Find A Grave!

Thank you for the information. Was able to follow up with lots more. Found parents, buried in Stanley County
The naming is somewhat off count. In one family tree they have the second generation named Sr., but the nick name is Jr. So, I've tried to get it straight. with Sr., Jr. and III.
The help is appreciated.

p.s. I have photos of this entire cemetery, but it was getting late and actually dark when I was rushing to finish up. Very poor pictures which I could not post. Once spring arrives I plan to go back and redo all my pictures for the cemetery when the grass is green.
