CHANGES: Suggest a correction, please! If I duped it, I'll delete it. If you have more info, I'll add it. If I typed something wrong, I'll fix it. I DO NOT KNOWINGLY CREATE DUPES, but I'm human and make mistakes. Although this site asks you not to send too many changes per week, please feel free to send as many as you find. I'm in it for accurate information.
PET PEEVE: Others who input info & don't double check it making it impossible for me to match the photos I've taken. Therefore I create a correct memorial with photo & they come back & say mine's a "dupe" even though theirs was jacked up info :( UGH!!!!! If you DON'T TRY to put something in correctly, don't put ANYTHING in at all or at least have the decency to remove your botched memorial & don't ask the correct one to be removed & the photo be transferred to their corrected memorial. Accuracy is important here - NOT the amount of memorials you can input from bad information & typing skills.
TRANSFERS: If it's your relative or friend (and not my direct line :-), I'll transfer it! Just use the edit request on the memorial and include your Find A Grave member number with your request.
PHOTOS: Permission is granted for others to use photos that I have posted on www.findagrave.com for personal, non-commercial purposes. If you have a better photo than mine, let me know & I'll delete mine. Things happen & the photo I took might have looked fine at the cemetery & not so fine when I got home :) IF my reflection is in a photo, please let me know so I get it corrected. Contributions are in honor of those who walked before us. No disrespect is intended whatsoever by my submissions to this website.
I hope everyone finds the ancestors & answers they're looking for & it makes my day to think I've helped in some way!!
Grapevine Cemetery, Madisonville, Ky. Lorna, I noticed at Grapevine that there was a section that had a lot of makers with Unknown on them, do you know the history of this section ? I do not remember see it before . Unless I am losing my mind ! lol Andy
There is a note on the site about the name. He is my great grandfather and his name is George Washington Reed. His parents were John Henson Reed and Frances Adelein Tucker. Let me know if you need any other information.
Geroge Wesley Reed George's middle name is Washington (not Wesley). He is attached to Marie Reed Clark in Resthaven. I contacted the person in charge of Marie, but she said that she couldn't change George's name. George is my great grandfather. He is buried at Smock's Chapel in Marion County with no grave marker. Please let me know what I can do to have the name corrected. Thanks.
Henry Cozart I am contacting you because you contributed a photo of Henry's headstone to his memorial, created by Quietly Resting. I've no way of contacting this person. I have found an article in a newspaper of Henry's death. The name in the article is spelled Cazort, but the dates match to a T. Would you have a way of contacting Quietly Resting ( if not deceased ) to ask permission to add this to his memorial, which is #68298887. Thank you, Ruby
Transfer & thank you Hello again Lorna, Thank you for your generosity in transferring: Sarah Hudson Tolbert # 98247402 to my care. With your help, I have successfully "reunited" her with her husband and four young children. As I receive more information, I will be adding it to Our shared memorial. With sincerest appreciation, Marcia # 47059326
