Yes she is the daughter of Jacob and Mahalia Vanover Rickard. She married Charles Ellis on the date I said earlier and had
William David 12-3-1857
Charles L 2-17 1866
John H 1863
Jacob E 1868
He married again after she died to a Jane Roberts 1-30-1879.
Hope this will help.

The Marriage Book says Nancy Jane Rickard to Charles Ellis Oct 4 1855 at Jacob Rickards home. I will keep looking

I do not know Shirley, the stone does not say and I do not research the Ellis line.

I don't know much about them. I'm not a genealogist; I am researching basic information about the burials in the National Cemetery at Gettysburg. It's just a sort of project I assigned myself. Been working on it a few years, and I hope to continue the digging many more years.
Sorry I couldn't help!

I had help!!!!!!Bobbi Tucker sent me the Death certificate for Sallie. I found mention she was buried in Slover Cemetery in Muhlenberg co. which there is not one. I just can not believe there is not a stone online. I might have to go photograph that cemetery again.

I read a note at the Funeral Home site last night and someone said she ask what the R D stood for and an aunt said just R D. I have been looking for his mother. I find a Sallie Rickard that died in 1934 suppose to be buried in a Slover Cemetery in Muhlenberg co Ky. I find a Slover cemetery in Webster co but no memorial for her. I am sure if she is there she would have a stone.
