I BELIEVE THAT GENEALOGY IS MORE THAN JUST PEOPLE, IT IS ALSO ABOUT THE PLACES THEY ARE FROM. LIKE PEOPLE EVERY PLACE HAS A PAST, BUT IT IS THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE THEM A PAST... A HISTORY... A GENEALOGY!

This saying was hung over the cemetery in the ghost town of Aurora,Ca:

AS YOU ARE NOW
I ONCE WAS
AS I AM NOW
YOU TOO WILL BE...

Also if you are in need of family research in Phillips County Colorado, drop me a note as I am the county coordinator for the Gen Web project for this county!

At first I wasn't quite sure what to write here, but now I feel that a few more words are necessary. I am retired, but not tired, I have been doing genealogy since 2001 when my mother died, leaving me with bits and pieces of our families.

Since then I have traced and documented my mothers side of the family(Tate's, Price, Morgan's) back to the 1500's. As for my father's side of the family( Ennis, Enos, Thomas) well lets say I am a native Californian, my great grandfather sailed on a whaling ship from the Azores in the late 1840's, jumped ship in the bay of San Francisco and made his way to the gold fields of Northern California.

As for my better half his family will be Vance, McFarland and Jones. He is a native Coloradoan.

When we am not hunting graves, I write. paint and do pencil drawing. We have a home based business which allows us to travel and explore.

I love history an devote a great deal of time to researching and photographing forgotten towns, trails building, stage and pony express stations.

Please feel free to use any pictures I may post to your memorial for your own personal use. The way I see it, they are a gift that I have given to you for your personal use.

Any use of my pictures on other web sites is forbidden with out prior permission. Please don't not post on other web site!.

If I have a memorial that is your family, just ask, I will transfer(unless it is my family) to you, I have just been a caretaker.

I am also the county coordinator for the Phillips County Gen Web project. To access my pages please use the link below.
