Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest is in getting the local cemeteries catalogued, photographed, and listed on this site, with family links posted whenever possible. I'm especially eager to get photos of those headstones that are in danger of disappearing due to weather, neglect, or vandalism

If you notice errors on my submissions, please send me the corrections and I'll make them as soon as possible. If I manage a memorial for one of your relatives and you'd prefer to manage it yourself, let me know and I'll gladly turn it over to you. The only ones I won't transfer are my direct relatives.

I work full-time, but I'm happy to take photos on weekends when I can.

NOTE: If you ask me to include information on a memorial, please explain your sources. I've had people ask me to add information that was actually in error, and I'd prefer not to spread misinformation if at all possible. Thanks for understanding.

If you're requesting a transfer or adding information to a memorial, please use the EDIT tab on the memorial to send me the request/information. It makes it much easier to find which memorial you're talking about. Thank you.

RE: Rosa Perea
It is sometimes difficult to pin point the location of a community when it is a river (Blind River).

The 1900 census shows Rosa was living in St. Tammany Parish, ward 1.

Thanks for questioning the edit.

RE: Rosa Perea
My source is Times-Picayune Newspaper obituary dated May 10, 1980, page 20. The obit states Rosa was a native of Blind River, Louisiana.

Wikipedia shows Blind River, LA:

Blind River is a waterway in southeastern Louisiana originating in the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area of St James Parish west of New Orleans and running northeasterly before turning east to flow into Lake Maurepas. The lower reaches of Blind River form the boundary between Livingston Parish on the north shore and St James and St. John the Baptist Parish on the south shore.

Blind River Chapel is located in Saint James Parish. If you have more detailed information as to where the Blind River Community was located in 1980, please let me know.

Hope this helps.

RE: Rosa Costanza - St. Louis #3
Do you want the photo of the vault removed or make note that the vault is a cenataph? I don't know if you can delete the photo since i added it or not. I am surprised that she would want to be buried away from her family but then again, maybe she didn't like them! LOL!

Charles Seeger
Hello Barbara,
I hope you are doing well.
There seems to be a discrepancy with the findagrave listing of "Charles Seeger" Find A Grave Memorial# 70785858.
The Seeger who died Apr. 24, 1895 in New Orleans and was "George Seeger" "eldest brother of Gustav Seeger" (and per my guess probably brother to this Charles Seeger).
George Seeger "is a man 63 years old and came to this country several years ago". Thus George Seeger who died April 24, 1895 was born 1832 and probably in Germany. He was not in the U. S. during the Civil War.
Source: "The Suicide Seeger. May be a Man With Quite a History", Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA), April 28, 1895, p. 7, genealogybank.com.

I would like to find Charles Seeger who married Johanna Louise Hartman in Nov. 1867 and had four children in New Orleans as late as 1877.
