Bio

My name is Mary (Asplin) Lambert from Edmond, Oklahoma. I am an RN Case Manager with Mercy in Oklahoma City. My parents: Ray and Fern (Park) Asplin.
Ancestors include: the Asplin, Mead(e), Doty, Hulsey, Lewis, King, Park, Hairston, Parker, Banta, DeMott, DeMarest,Terhune, and Joslin families.

The Joslin (Joccelyn,Jocelyn, Joscelin, Josceline,Joscelyn, Joshlin, Joslyn, Josselyn,
Josselyne) family relates to me as well as my husband. Thomas Joslin, who came to America in 1635, had a son named Abraham who is my direct ancestor. Thomas Joslin also had a son named Nathaniel who is my husband's direct ancestor.

I have been able to trace my ancestry back to Edward Doty who arrived with the Pilgrims on the Mayflower. This has been supported by DNA through a male (Doty) second cousin once removed.

I would be pleased to transfer memorials to you since most of the memorials that I post are not that of my relatives. I will usually transfer memorials for those outside my own family lines, even to those who are not within the Findagrave four generation policy, including people who may have been just friends. However, please be sure that you intend to actually add something to enhance the memorials. It's frustrating to transfer an entire family to someone, only to later discover that nothing has been done with them. I check for Edits almost daily and usually accept them quickly.

I would be happy to make corrections, add family links, and include any additional information to the memorials that you provide. If I need to make additions and corrections on the memorials that I have posted, please use the Edit button on the upper right area of each memorial to contact me. Anyone may copy any photos I have posted for personal use - no credit required. It does my heart good to see them included in someone's family tree since the main reason I try to do my part in this is to help people who have passed on be remembered.

When I visit graves online, I like to leave a flower so that friends and family of the deceased will know that their loved one was acknowledged that day. You are welcome to transfer any of my "flowers" to your own scrapbook.

"In all of us there is a hunger, marrow-deep, to know our heritage - to know who we are and where we have come from. Without this enriching knowledge there is a hollow yearning. No matter what our attainments in life there is still a vacuum. An emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness."
