After retirement from being an elementary school teacher, I have become more involved in genealogy. Visiting cemeteries has helped me complete some missing facts of my ancestors. Since it is impossible to visit all the locations where ancestors are buried, I have found findagrave.com to be a way to see the stones of many of my ancestors.|
Memorials that I have created in Newton, Barry and McDonald Counties, Missouri, and Ottawa County, Oklahoma, are not related to me. I have found these stones walking cemeteries and taking photos of the stones. I would be happy to transfer any of these memorials to family members. The reason that I have added photos is to help families find their ancestors.
Please do not post death certificates or obits in the photo section of memorials that I maintain. I would like for this space to be available for descendants to add personal photos. Thank you for helping with this.

|Coleah||Additional Info Request|
I received an email requesting information for # 23005507. Since the death was 1895, I have no resources and thought perhaps you may have there. Cemetery record said the man (A.A. Mahan) died during surgery and she wonders what the surgery was for.
If you can locate this info, please forward to Margaret email@example.com
(Margaret is seeking info for an 80 yr old woman who is A.A. Mahan's granddaughter). Many thanks, Judie!

|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Lida Alford Myers in Odd Fellows Cemetery (Memorial# 23043921).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Kansas Obituaries, where her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/KSOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Judie [or your full name if you prefer]
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!
