|Please feel free to request transfers. My only interest in being a member of Finding A Grave is to help others locate the final resting places of their loved ones. Many people have helped me in such a way and I appreciated all the work they have done. This is my way of passing their efforts forward.|
I do reserve the right to maintain my own family and relatives, but I have transferred to those who are closer related. So request away. We may find we are related.
I do place death certificates on my memorials but am willing to remove them if space for pictures is needed. Please just ask for their removal if you need to.
Also, people have asked many times if they can use the pictures that I have placed on memorials. Yes, anyone may use the pictures for their own personal use. I do not feel ownership for them they are there for family members to enjoy.

re: Elizabeth Doty-Castle's memorial. #161109139
The mother associated with Elizabeth is Lucy Davis and that is incorrect information.
Lucy Davis died 1762. According to "North American Family Histories, 1500-2000" page 49 of the Lineage Book of the Charter Members of the DAR, in 1763 Isaac Doty Jr. married Anna Parke, not in 1787. Making it impossible for Lucy Davis to be mother to any of the children in this memorial
This is my husbands line and we have quite extensive information on this line.
Would you be so kind as to change the mother here.
Thank you for your hard work, I realize some times there are errors on Familysearch.org and do not blame you one bit.
Sincerely, Carol Topham
|Karen Hines||George Lampher|
I have asked for the name Lampher to be changed to Lamphere. The informant on his death certificate was the undertaker and not his daughter, Cora, whom he was living with when he died. I know the cemetery had to bury him under the name given to them and so the name Lampher. His family including his wife, Mary Isabelle "Bell" Lamphere and Cora always spelled their last names as he did, Lamphere. I believe the undertaker left off the last letter by mistake. Please allow this change. I almost didn't find his memory page under the last name, Lampher
|Steven Snider||Julius Wetzel|
Just after I left that message, I found the death record for Julius Wetzel at this site. Born 1868, died June 25, 1872, in Zilwaukie, parents are Ernest and Jane. I guess this makes him not the Julius, but the similarities in the names and family make me still believe this is a relation to my Wetzels. I have also found that there is a Clara Wetzel from this family in Zilwaukie. Thanks again for any information.

Thank you so much for this discovery which I just confirmed with the 4th Infantry. I asked Curtis Goodwine to transfer his photo of the military marker so all is in place. I'm transferring my profile to the 4th Infantry who is excited to have not only his burial location but the headstone photos as well.

OK I went back and looked in my tree and I see I have the death certificate for him, which states he will be buried in the Moreland Cemetery which is in Fairgrove, Tuscola Co, Michigan. Although when I look at the graves in my file its not there. So either I didn't find it or I entered it and it has been deleted. I do not have a note in my file that Martha is buried with him, but undoubtedly she was.

No didn't remarry. I checked my memorials and I'm now down to 23. I can't remember off hand but I don't think I actually found the graves of the Morelands in Moreland cemetery. Its very very small, about the size of my front yard.
We had our first snow yesterday and of course as usual my husband had not switched the tractor from lawn mower to snow blower and still hasn't. Our dog died yesterday and we haven't yet been able to get out of the driveway to take her down for cremation. And I can't find my boots. Love the first day of "winter".
So anyway not a good day for doing genealogy. But I think I will try to do one of those memorials that don't show a grave. I HATE those, cluttering up Find A Grave, and not being useful. They should never had changed to allow that. But maybe I'll become a hypocrite and put one up. If so I'll let you know. Will only do it if I can find good bio stuff. Don't remember if I have any.
