After a long hiatus, I am back searching the cemeteries of central and southern IL looking for ancestors. I always take my camera, but don't have a lot of time. Summer of 2011, I hope to get to Perry, Williamson, and Saline counties. If you have a request, please give a detailed description of who's stone you would like a photo of, ie: Cemetery, Names, dates, plot # if possible. |
Whenever I create a memorial, I try to give as much info as possible about that person. If you find a mistake, please let me know (courteously, of course) and I will make a correction.
---Also, I don't mind anyone using my photos for their own records, but please do not post my photos on other websites (especially Ancestry or other pay to use websites) as your own. I believe in free genealogy & I certainly do not want my work charged for by others!
Surnames that I am researching in Cent. and
South. IL: Patterson, Fouts, Breeze, Copple, Cowgur (Cowger), Gunter, Crabb, Bateman, Noller, Brittain, Just, Kramlich, Cochran, Sieka (Sicka), Schubert, Worden, Nevers, DePontaut, Stein, Geiger, & Kuhn. I am open to exchanging genealogical info on any of these families.
I also would like to thank all the cousins out there that have made contact and contributed information and files for our family on this site.

|German-Irish Lady||RE: Hanna Indiana Grubb|
Not a problem. We go to Little Grove quite a bit as that is where we are to be buried and also several of my husband's family. His family buried there are Schilling, Malcome, Malcolm, Malcom, and Garren.
On Bateman, I have info on Samuel Otis Garren b. 1868 married 10/5/1892 to Lida Drucella Bateman b. 1873 and also married to Della Warren. (no dates) . Lida Bateman's Parents were: John William Bateman and Martha Jane White.
I also have an Austin Patton married to an Elizabeth Ann Bateman no dates at this time. Are they by chance in your database?
If I can be of further help don't hesitate to ask. I know there are Copple's all over in Jefferson, Marion, Clinton and Washington counties in IL.

|Gwen D||Irma Stout|
Thank You! for posting Irma Stout's grave photo and location. She was like a grandmother to me and I never knew where she was buried. When I was a kid she'd tell me she was going to be buried above the ground, and now I understand :-)
