After a long hiatus, I am back searching the cemeteries of central and southern IL looking for ancestors. I always take my camera, but don't have a lot of time. Summer of 2011, I hope to get to Perry, Williamson, and Saline counties. If you have a request, please give a detailed description of who's stone you would like a photo of, ie: Cemetery, Names, dates, plot # if possible. |
Whenever I create a memorial, I try to give as much info as possible about that person. If you find a mistake, please let me know (courteously, of course) and I will make a correction.
---Also, I don't mind anyone using my photos for their own records, but please do not post my photos on other websites (especially Ancestry or other pay to use websites) as your own. I believe in free genealogy & I certainly do not want my work charged for by others!
Surnames that I am researching in Cent. and
South. IL: Patterson, Fouts, Breeze, Copple, Cowgur (Cowger), Gunter, Crabb, Bateman, Noller, Brittain, Just, Kramlich, Cochran, Sieka (Sicka), Schubert, Worden, Nevers, DePontaut, Stein, Geiger, & Kuhn. I am open to exchanging genealogical info on any of these families.
I also would like to thank all the cousins out there that have made contact and contributed information and files for our family on this site.

|Valeri Shutt||Eugene Noller|
I'm a little confused....According to Find a grave Eugene Noller had a son George W. Noller wife Susie...they had a daughter Bertha and a son George E. According to 1920 Census Ancestory.com they had three children....Bertha, Laura & LeRoy E. I did not find george. Can you clarify for me?

|Gwen D||Irma Stout|
Thank You! for posting Irma Stout's grave photo and location. She was like a grandmother to me and I never knew where she was buried. When I was a kid she'd tell me she was going to be buried above the ground, and now I understand :-)

Thank you that's more than I could have asked for.
|Carol Caplinger||King Peter Gunter|
So, apparently you are related to KP? Can you tell me how? I am Debbie Hurt's sister.
email@example.com I just, tonight, installed my new Family Tree soft ware...so I'm busy updating info.
|Denise Drake Horton||RE: Nancy Snow Bowman|
I don't know the answer. I saw the census but it lists Delilah Baird as a boarder & not mother-in-law. Some researchers have Snow; others have Baird. I'll check further when I get a chance. Thanks, Denise<><
|Donna Rohwedder||RE: Heidens in Effingham County|
I am sorry but no, I am not a Heiden descendent. I go to church at Trinity Lutheran in Shumway and when I discovered that the cemetery was not on Find a Grave, I used several sources including taking pictures of the tombstones and created its site and entered the information.
