I have always been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember. I was blessed to have grown up near my grandmother, who happened to remember a lot of family names and stories. :) I credit my passion (or obsession to some...ha ha) as coming from her. I also happen to have a fondness for old cemeteries.|
I have no problem transferring memorials to people who ask. I like to document whole cemeteries, giving me a lot of memorials that I have no relation to. So feel free to ask! :) On a side note, please do not email me asking for detailed info about cemeteries (like who is buried there, etc.). I do not have any specific information on a cemetery, other than what you see on this website. I find some on a map, and some are stumbled upon by just driving down the road.
I also do not mind if someone would like to copy my gravestone pictures for their family trees. It would be nice to receive a credit mention where ever you might post the pictures...but at the same time, it won't hurt my feelings if I don't. The pictures I take are for the "greater good" and I take them, hoping that someone out there will find them...maybe they might even help someone piece together part of their family tree that's been a mystery! :)
My family names: Carlisle, Rosan, Lively, Burton, Mathis, Ussery, Miles, Hicks, Lavender, Gustin, Trill, Offerman, Ritter, Wabbena, Sternberg, Tekstra, Doescher, Atkins/Adkins, Paton/Payton, Robinson, Bonham, Cleavenger, Barnett, Crawford, Fuller, Russell, Halfacre (just to name a few!)

|alice hurst||Laura A. Trout|
Amanda, I saw your name on the memorial page for Laura Trout buried in Ferges cmt. in Williamson Co. Illinois.
Laura Trout father was James & Lidia(Lydia) Ferges.
Lidia (Lydia) was the daughter of:
Elizabeth Bandy Mitchell Hurst.
Elizabeth was married to my 2nd G grandfather John Hurst buried in Ftanklin Cmt in Whittington north of Benton Ill.
Are you related in any way to Laura, Lidia or Elizabeth Mithcell? If not do you know how I can get in contact with anyone that is related?
Thank You for any help you can give me. Alice Hurst

Need help finding a cemetery that is listed on the death certificate as Farmer Cemetery, Stonefort Township, Williamson, ILL. Any thoughts on a name change for the cemetery? Robert

Would like to request the transfer of Dorothy Lively, my sister, who's at Blairsville Cem., in Blairsville, IL.
I am working on my significant other's family tree. His name is James L Carlisle. I noticed you and Jim have some of the same relatives. Specifically, John G Carlisle who died in Hardin County, IL who is Jim's 3rd great uncle making John Carlisle's children Jim's first cousin's 3Xremoved. What I am interested in knowing is if you happen to have a source for John G. Carlisle's death information. Also, are you on Ancestry?

Hi, I see you have a photo of a headstone for John Ruben Thurston. Where exactly is this cemetery? Thanks so much!
|Valerie Lavender||Little Flock|
Hi! I went to little flock commentary today to see my great grandmothers resting place. Her name was Susie Goble Bonham. She died shortly after my grandmother and her twin sister was born in 1916. As I was leaving an older man pulled up and told me I needed to get the hell off his land. I tried to explain I was visiting my great grandmothers grave and he threatened to call the police. I would like to know who owns the grave yard and if he had the right to do this. Can you help in this matter. Thanks Valerie Lavender. My geandmother name was Josephine Bonham Willie.
