Bio and Links
Bio Photo "Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation." Lois Wyse (20th century)

"Life is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset. What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others." S Pierce in memorial of "Woody" and Wilda Woodward.

I am a grandmother picking up the genealogy work started by my father, mother and uncle. As a member of DAR, I helped with the Centennial Chaper NSDAR project of photographing all the headstones in Weld County Colorado. http://www.coloradodar.org/chapters/centennialstate/cemeteries.html

Now I am combining work and putting my family genealogy (ancestors and descendents) on a data base and reaching out to family via memorials across the nation and around the world and taking photos of cemeteries where I go for others.

If you have a friend or relative in Mountain View, Idaho Veterans Cemetery, Terrace Lawn or Cloverdale Cemetery, Dry Creek or Old Pioneer (Idaho City), I will be glad to take a photo of the headstones for the memorials or transfer memorials that I manage.

If you want to copy any of the photos I have posted, feel free to as long is it is not used for profit.

"Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred to any FAG contributor as they are requested."

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart... i'll always be with you."

RE: Mrs. Howard Russell
Hello, No I'm sorry, I'm not related to a Mrs. Howard Russell that I know of. I did grow up in the area you are looking for her. My GG Grandparents were Rufus Chester Russell and his wife, Sarah Shockey Russell. His parents were Almon P. and Caroline Lucretia Nims Russell.

RE: Hershel & Janice McGraw
The plot card shows that the spot next to Hershel, Sr. (which is normally reserved for the spouse) is as yet unassigned. Possibly Janice was cremated and the cremains have not yet been interred.

Hershel & Janice McGraw
Grandview confirms that there is no marker for Hershel, Sr. There is one (as pictured on his memorial) for Hershel ("Hershey"),Jr. Both are buried in the same section and plot.

Grandview records do not contain the name of Janice McGraw.

RE: Herbert and Virginia
Hi,

I added some closeups and family groupings for Mary and Horace Pease, as well. Also, did you notice the spelling of "Virgena" on her stone? If that is indeed the way her name was spelled, it may lead you to other documents. Of course, it could also just be an error on an expensive piece of rock ...

RE: Leland Wheeler
Leland is a 2nd cousin, once removed but I will pass on the offer to transfer him to me. I do appreciate the offer though and hope that someone, closer related, will add him to their cache of family memorials. It makes me sad to see memorials with no links to family so I try to add the missing information whenever I have substantiation to connect them to their families.

Thanks again,
Darlene

RE: Mary Eichorn
I am nearly finished with the photography project, so once it is done we will probe to see if over time, the smaller stones are overgrown with years of mowing, etc. I have found some in the past where this is the case. I will look for Mary.

RE: Gilbert Van Camp
You're welcome. I've also added the photo of the gravestone of Jennie VanCamp to her page. They were the only two VanCamps in that section.

RE: Benjamin RD Spurlock
On Lindsey Spurlock, I have found nothing on him after the 1870 census. His daughter, Mary Frances died in 1907 in Muscatine, Iowa, and is buried there. Lindsey never showed up on the 1880 or 1900 census with her, and the only Spurlock listed buried in Muscatine is the daughter. I've come up with nothing, and he is not buried in West Midway Cemetery, London Mills, IL.
Other records show him dying in Coffee County, Kansas, and buried in Geneva, Kansas, even tho both death records do not list a cemetery name for him. I'm at a loss what happened to him.
Sorry I could not be more help. Nancy Gawthrop
