Family history has long tugged at my heartstrings. It has also been a vehicle for meeting "cousins" and new friends as we assist and exchange data. Inevitably, errors occur so, please inform me of any you may discover on the info I have added (and I'm happy to place additional facts...THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! If I have inadvertently overlooked anyone, please know that I am sincerely appreciative of your input.) to this fantastic site directly from that memorial.|
Will consider transfer of family members to "per Find A Grave guidelines "(Please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial transferred to you. Please, DO NOT post requests on my Bio page as it is very time consuming to search for those memorials and less accurate. Also include in your request your unique Contributor ID # which is displayed to the right of your member name on your profile page. Transfers: Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree."Transfer requests should be for direct relatives WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS, this would be your Siblings, Parents, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. EXPLAIN your Relationship in the request. Any non-direct relatives (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc.) are Not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer. BULK surname requests should not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.). I will ONLY TRANSFER management of memorials to immediate relatives as defined in the Find A Grave rules...this is their policy. Other requests WILL be ignored. AGAIN, PLEASE USE the "EDIT" and "SUGGEST A CORRECTION". Additional data should not be placed in the flower/token area of the memorial page. I also need an email address, or way to contact you when you send me requests and questions. Many Newbies are not making themselves familiar with site guidelines and sadly, some simply do not care. I'm also very capable of adding data so, please do not ask me to transfer and you'll transfer the memorial pg back to me after you've added more data. The guidelines also state to allow 30 days for updates. Patience is necessary as I have a life beyond this site. In the event of the same memorial listed twice on the same day, please refer to the MEMORIAL number. The lowest MEMORIAL # was the one added first, with the highest MEMORIAL # being the duplicate.
Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together. I respect all contributors of FAG and do expect the same from them. Also, please keep in mind we are contributing this very important data for future generations so they might continue the wonderful work that we are currently peforming. The focus is assisting others and remembering those who passed before us.
I'm honored to add those who have passed into their eternal life as they should never be forgotten. ALL of these wonderful memorials are NOT related to me as I have added others I "met" while doing research at cemeteries, libraries, or seeking data on the Internet. Feel free to visit and leave floral/tokens/messages. Heartfelt thanks also to my fab ancestors!

|Carol M. Jaffe||Allan Jaffe Memorial|
Iriss, You had created the memorial shortly after my husband's passing and before I created one. I have one additional question that has been puzzling me, in the memorial you created you posted the obit as it was in the newspaper and you included his photo. The photo in Find A Grave is in color, the one in the paper was black & white, how did you get a color copy?

|Rebecca ECKARD Wilson||Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease:|
Hello, there. I saw a connection to your memorial(s) on Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease. Could you please ADD her parents (James Robert Boone) and (Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" BAKER Boone) down for her family link, please. I included other family information too, that might be of some use. If you or someone directly connected to Lenora, Leo, Robert or Elizabeth, or their half-sister, Mary (Boone). Please let me know. Thanks.
I finally found James Robert Boone and Mary Elizabeth BAKER Boone's kids:
(Father): James Robert Boone # 98777019
(Mother): Mary Elizabeth BAKER Boone # 99122751
(James Robert and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Baker) Boone's "4" Children):
(1) Lenora Catherine Boone, Find-A-Grave Memorial # 142640447
(b) October 16th, 1906, in Hampshire Co, West Virginia.
(d) March 30th, 1988, in Plainsville, Adams Co, Illinois.
(m) Lawrence "Loren" Lester Lease.
(children) Delorse Ann, La Greta Ann, Loretta Jean.
(Noted): Delorse Ann Lease (died in infancy). And, Lenora's other two daughters, La Greta Ann (Lease) Steinmann, was (b) Sep. 16, 1937, Quincy, Adams Co, Illinois, and she (d) Sep. 17, 2012, in Highland, Madison Co, Illinois; and Loretta Jean Lease, was (b) October 10, 1935, in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, and, she (d) February 08, 2015, in Seguin, Guadalupe County, Texas.
(2) Leo Baker Boone, # N/A
(b) 1908, in Hampshire Co, West Virginia.
(d) After 1940 Census.,
(m) Gladys M. N/A, # 118627636,
(children) James Eugene, Marvin Leo, Roger Keith.
(3) Robert W. Boone, (A TWIN) - Find-A-Grave Memorial # 111478606, (b) July 21st, 1913, in Plainville, Adams Co, Illinois., (d) April 13th, 2001, in Augusta, Hancock Co, Illinois.(m) Idella N/A. (children) N/A.
(Noted): Either Robert or Elizabeth's Birth day is wrong on their tombstone, because the U.S. Census Records always shows them being TWINS. So, on Robert W. Boone's (Find-A-Grave) memorial, they have down that he was born on (July 21st, 1913) in Illinois; but on his twin sister, Elizabeth W. (Boone) Buchheim's (Find-A-Grave) memorial, they have her down as being born on: (July 22nd, 1913) in Illinois.
(4) Elizabeth "Betty" W. Boone, (A TWIN) - Find-A-Grave # 7344061 (b) July 22nd, 1913, in Plainsville, Adams Co, Illinois., (d) September 28th, 1993, in Highland, Madison Co, Illinois. (m) Eugene "Gene" John Buchheim, married sometime after the 1940 Census. (children) N/A
(Noted): Elizabeth's husband, Eugene "Gene" John Buchheim, was first married to: Clara Elizabeth (Schumacher), and they had two kids together:
(1) Marian P.(Buchheim) Zobrist (b) December 1st, 1920, in Highland, Madison Co, Illinois, and she (d) January 27th, 1982, in same location. And, (2) John Vernon Buchheim,(b) 1922, in Highland, Madison Co, Illinois, and he (d) October 31st, 1938, in same location. So, Marian and John V., would have been Elizabeth W. (Boone) Buchheim's
(Noted): Since James' first wife, Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Baker) Boone, died on
September 13th, 1913, in Plainsville, Adams Co, Illinois. It is believed that she
may have died shortly after giving birth to the twins, Robert and Elizabeth, (who were born in July of 1913, in Illinois). So, James Robert Boone married his second
wife, Pearl M. (Jackson), from Texas, on October 26th, 1917, in either Illinois "or,"
Texas., and they had a daughter together, Anelia/Amelia (Boone).
(5) Mary Anelia/Amelia Boone, #
(b) After 1917/18, 1940 Census said around (1922/23) in Illinois.
(d) After 1940 Census. Was listed living with Lenora (Boone) Lease and her family.
(HERE ARE THE FOLLOWING CENSUS RECORDS) for James Boone and his family:
(1900 Census): James Boone - living with his brother, John Isaiah Boone.
(Head) James Boone 23 1877 W.Va.
(Brother) John Isaiah Boone 21 1879 Ohio
Living in: Sherman, Hampshire, West Virginia
(Noted): James Robert Boon married Mary Elizabeth Baker, on April 27th, 1904, in Romney, Hampshire Co, West Virginia.
(Source): West Virginia, Marriages Index Records (1785-1971):
Name of Groom: James Robert Boone
Grooms Birth Date: abt. 1876
Grooms Birth Place: Hardy County, West Virginia
Spouse's Name: Mary Elizabeth Baker
Spouse Birth Place: Hampshire County, West Virginia
Spouse's Age: 22
Marriage Date: 27 Apr 1904
Marriage Place: Hampshire, West Virginia
(1910 Census): James R. Boone
(Head) James R Boone 34 1876 W.Va.
(Wife) Mollie E Boone 28 1882 W.Va.
(Daughter) Lenora Boone 3 1907 W.Va.
(Son) Leo Boone 1 1/2 1908 W.Va.
Living in: Glendale, Maricopa, Arizona.
(Noted): James' first wife, Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Baker) Boone, would later die "a few months after giving birth to their two "twins," Robert and Elizabeth (who were born in July of 1913), in Plainsville, Adams Co, Illinois, because Mary E. (Baker) Boone died on September 13th, 1913, in Illinois. And, James got remarried.
James Robert Boone married his second wife, Pearl M. (Jackson), on October 26th, 1917, in either Illinois "or" Texas.
(1920 Census): Under James R. Boone/Boon
(Father) James R Boone 44 1876 W.Va.
(2nd Wife) Pearl Boone 27 1893 Texas
(Daughter) Lenore Boone 13 1907 W.Va.
(Son) Leo Boone 11 1909 W.Va.
(Son) Robert Boone 6 1913 Illinois
(Daughter) Elizabeth Boone 6 1913 Illinois
Living in: Richfield, Adams, Illinois.
(Noted): James Robert Boone would later die on February 27, 1925, in Plainville, Adams County
Illinois. So that would explain "WHY" his four children (Lenora, Leo, and the "twins" Robert and Elizabeth) would all be living together in (1930).
(1930 Census): Under Leo Boone [Leo Borne]
(Head) Leo Boone 22 1908 Wes Virginia
(Sister) Lenora Boone 24 1906 West Virginia
(Brother) Robert Boone 16 1914 Illinois
(Sister) Elizabeth Boone 16 1914 Illinois
Living in: Richfield, Adams, Illinois.
(1940 Census' for James and Mollie's 4 kids):
(1940 Census) for Lenora (Boone) Lease
(Head) Loren Lease 30 1910 Illinois Farmer
(Wife) Lenora Lease 32 1908 WV
(Daughter) Loretta Jean Lease 4 1936 Ill
(Daughter) La Greta Ann Lease 2 1938 Ill
(Sister-in-law) Mary Boone 17 1923 Illinois
Living in: Richfield, Adams, Illinois
(Noted): Could Mary Boone (17) be James and Pearl's daughter (Amelia)? Because it said she was Loren Lease' "Sister-in-law." And, plus, it said that Mary Boone had lived in (Waco, Texas) in (1935), which is where her mother, Pearl M. (Jackson) died, and Pearl's parents were from "Waco, Texas." So, I'm almost betting that the (Mary Boone, 17) is the daughter of James Robert Boone and his second wife, Pearl M. (Mary) Jackson-Boone. And, Pearl M. (Jackson) Boone died on August 13th, 1936, in Waco, Mclennan, Texas. So that would explain "WHY" Mary Boone (17) was staying with her older sister, Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease, under the 1940 U.S. Census.

(1940 Census) for Elizabeth - CAN'T SEEM TO LOCATE ELIZABETH BOONE, Yet. So I'm not sure if she got married, prior to her marrying (Eugene "Gene" John Buchheim), after 1940, or
what??? More research is needed on "Elizabeth W. BOONE Buchheim.
PS: Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease' Find-A-Grave Memorial is # 142640447.

Just want to let you know....
Rolland George Carpentier, 1928 - 2012
I visited Fort Custer National Cemetery, Michigan, summer of 2014. No George.
About one week after the visit, did call the administration, can't find George. Not at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Double checked today, April 14 2015, still no George. Have no idea where George is buried.
Thought you would want to know. Thanks for all of time & effort you put into Find A Grave.
|Rebecca ECKARD Wilson||Regarding LaGreta Ann (Lease) Steinmann's mother (Lenora):|
Pertaining to the Memorial for Lenora Catherine BOONE Lease:
Hello, there. I'm not sure if I've found the right Lenora Boone, of Plainville, Adams County, Illinois, or not. But, she seems to fit my cousin, the eldest daughter of my Great-Great-Uncle (James Robert Boone - # 98777019) and his first wife (Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Baker - 99122751); who were married on April 27th, 1904, in Romney, Hampshire Co, W.Va. And their first two children, Lenora (1906-07), and Leo (abt. 1908), were both born in Rock Oak, Hardy Co, West Virginia. Then, Great-Great-Uncle James Robert and his wife, Mary Elizabeth "Mollie," move to Plainville, Adams Co., Illinois, because they later had a set of "Twins," Robert and Elizabeth "Betty," I believe (b) September 13th, 1903. Sadly, their mother Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Baker) Boon/Boone, must have had complications from their births, because she later died on September 13th, 1913. So their widowed father, James Robert Boon(e) later gets remarried to a Pearl M. (Jackson), from Texas, on October 26th, 1917, in either Illinois, or in Texas. I can't seem to find James and his children after the 1910 or 1920 U.S. Census Records.
(The Children of James Robert and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" BAKER Boon/Boone):
(1) Lenora C. Boone (b)Nov 3rd, 1907,
Rock Oak, Hardy County, West Virginia.
(2) Leo B. Boone (b) Sept 28th, 1908,
Rock Oak, Hardy County, West Virginia.
(3) "Twin" Robert Boone (b) 1913,
(4) "Twin" Elizabeth Boone (b) 1913,
(Noted): Since James' first wife, Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (Baker) Boone, died on September 13th, 1913, in Illinois, he
later remarried by (1917).
(James Robert Boone's 2nd Wife): Pearl M.
Jackson, whom he married on October 26th,
1917, in either Illinois "or" Texas.
(James and Pearl's Child):
~ Anelia/Amelia Boone (b) 1917-1918
If you are directly linked to Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease. Could you please get back with me on this, please. James' mother's name was (Sarah Catherine Dean), so I'm almost certain she got her grandmother's middle name. As you will see, my Great-Great-Uncle James Robert Boone, also died there in Plainville, Adams Co, Illinois. But I cannot locate his or his two wives graves, or his children's graves, either.
PS: I saw where Lenora Catherine (Boone) Lease's one daughter, LaGreta Ann (Lease) Steinmann, said she went to live with her Aunt Betty (which is probably short for "Elizabeth"); which Lenora had a younger sister (Elizabeth) who had a twin brother, Robert.
Thank you for your time, and have a blessed day.
You are very welcomed. Happy to have helped in your photo request.

I sincerely thank you for the tremendous amount time, energy, and 'genealogy research' that you have so generously contributed -- to assist 'strangers' (like myself), that you have never even met. And, I am 100% certain that there are countless others, who also share my deep appreciation. We thank-you.
Thank you for transferring my grandma to me :)
