Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my Roots since 1974. My Grandmother Annie Elizabeth Scroggins Huffman told me when I was a child... "Kathy don't forget the ones who came before, if you do, they will be lost." I earnestly try to keep a record of each person's life, in that way they live on in history. The cemeteries of Old Liberty, near Scotland, Van Buren Co., Arkansas, eight generations of my family, Lost Corner, near Cleveland, Conway Co., Arkansas also eight generations, Robertstown, Conway Co., Arkansas, Walnut Grove near Hector, Pope Co., Arkansas, Cedar Creek and Mount Zion on the Pope/Conway Co. Line, Lowes Creek, near Branch, Gage and Crossno, near Etna, Cemetery Ridge, near Webb City, all in Franklin Co., Arkansas, Caulksville, Logan Co., Arkansas, Rock Creek, near Cozahome, Campbell, Scribner, Landis, all in Searcy Co., Arkansas are my family's cemeteries but you'll be able to find me anywhere on this earth creating memorials and leaving flowers for family and friends, Thanks to FindAGrave.

My OBJECTIVE like most of the contributors on FindAGrave is to PRESERVE the HISTORICAL RECORDS of those who came before.

My Home Page "Kathy's Kin" on is updated periodically. Please feel free to use any data from my database that pertains to your family, that's why I post data online, to help folks find their family.
Genealogy is my "Magnificent Obsession".

Wife of Leroy Scroggins
My grand aunt, Mary "Molly" Ann Harvey Gage married Leroy Scroggins, after her first husband, William Henry Gage, was found to have two wives and put into prison at Little Rock. The family story is that during an argument, Leroy hit Mary in the head so hard that she was put into a mental hospital until she died. Her father was William Adam Harvey, mother Nancy Amanda Johnson, brothers William Robert and Charles, and Sarah, her sister. I am still putting pieces together to try to determine for certain who her grandfather is, and am leaning toward William P. Harvey, born around 1815 in Tennessee. He married Martha Fowler and had a William A. Harvey December 1837, while living in Fayette, Fayette County, Alabama. If you run across any info that might verify this is the same as OUR William, I would sure appreciate hearing from you. My tree is Goodrich-Harvey Family on Sharon Montgomery

Reid/Brock Line
My husband Robert Dale Brock descends from the Reid Brock line from George Reid, Asa Reid and Henry Reid and Martha Ellen Reid and William Harper Brock. We have visited the Arkansas cemeteries where the Reids and Brocks are buried. We appreciate your efforts to record the family history.

I believe the woman you are referring to is the same woman my grandfather James Buster Scroggins (Bus) and all of his children called "aint Annie" she is burried in elmwood cemetery in wagoner, Oklahoma. Does this sound correct to you?

Granpa Gage's marker
Hi Kathy, its been a long time. I'm trying to finish up my ancestral book and need one thing for our grandpa Gage. On your memorial page for grandpa you wrote : Billy's grave is marked with a Cherokee Marker. I have a drawing of the marker from the 1960s. It is a certain type of rocks, stacked in the shape of a triangle, each rock has markings on it. Billy's grave was watched over and taken care of by the Cherokee who lived in that area during that time.
Is there anyway you could forward me a photo of this drawing of his marker for my book? Thank you.

Pughs in Al.
Dear Kathy: I am trying to unravel some of the Pugh family from Clarke Co., Al. There seems to be some conflict with the family of John Monroe Pugh and Elizabeth Johnston as far as census documents go. Can you help please? I have been to your rootsweb site but wasnt able to get the answers I hoped for.
1) 1850 lists children Hannah and Mary with 6 yrs between them.
2) 1860 give an Elizabeth H. only 16 years (could not be his wife...? then Mary, Monroe and Estelle.
I am totally confused on this...either his wife is missing or Elizabeth H. is Hannah who you have as also have an Elizabeth born 1864 as a daughter buried in the Pugh graves.
Can you PLEASE help me understand the links here as I am at my wits end.
Also, I am looking for the Father of Jesse Pugh who moved to Wayne Co., Ms. born 1856 died 1951. He is buried in Worsham Cem. in Wayne county with his wife. I seem to recall a mention in the TH Ball Clarke Co Al book which gave the answer to who his father was, but now cannot locate the exerpt. You wouldn't happen to know this information would you? I appreciate your help much. Thx. C. Sullivan
