Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Chesapeake, Virginia and am a Civil War history buff and a lover of old cemeteries. I love to travel around Virginia with my Labrador Retrievers, enjoy the solitude and taking pictures of the battlefields.

As far as the memorials that I post, most of them are not family members of mine but rather memorials that I found to be really impressive when I was strolling though a cemetery or family members of photo requests that I fulfilled who didn't already have a memorial established. If you would like me to transfer any of them, please let me know.

Anyone who wishes to use any of my photographs for non-commercial purposes has my permission. Also, if I have posted a memorial of a relative that you object to, please notify me and I will remove it.

Many thanks to all of you who have shared stories of your family with me. Every day that I volunteer is a history lesson for me and I cherish the many stories that you have shared.

RE: Bill Boggess
Thank you for your kind words. I miss Bill terribly! We emailed back and forth most every day or talked on the phone. His appetite for research was insatiable. Together, we worked so hard on the early day people of Jasper county and particularly Carthage, where he grew up. There was so much more to do and I think he worked tirelessly because he worried he wouldn't be around to get done as much as he wanted to.
He had a very good life after his retirement and had a shell collection second to none. I hope you visit his websites. He has a whole section devoted to just his shelling and all the different kinds there is. He was very knowledgeable about so many things. You're right, he is very missed.
Warm regards,
