Cecil Fred Marsh
John D Marsh
John Marsh born in NY in 1794 and married to Catharine Leavell is my 3rd Great Grandfather and I am having problems finding any records that indicate he was born in NY or that he is the son on Jonathan Marsh and Mary Day.

This is what I have been told as being a "Brick Wall" for me.

I have records of his son Simeon writing about his father and mother and that he (John) was born in NY and Catharine was born in South Carolina.

I also have records that Jonathan and Mary Day Marsh were married in NY and had two boys, John and Jacob before Jonathan Died. Ironically, after Jonathans death, his wife Mary Day married Jonathans brother Simeon.

However, I still cannot find definitive data or information the my John Marsh was actually the son of Jonathan.

No birth records, probate records or anything at all.

this information would help me out considerably since I am trying to apply for a variety of organizations such as a descendant of one of the original 80 Elizabethtown Associated who pioneered New Jersey; Sons of American Revolution; all the way down to my 2nd Great Grandfather Henry Clay Marsh.

My direct email is if you would like to contact me in this manner. that is hopefully you have information.

Thank legal name is Cecil F Marsh, III and I go by Fred

David Monroe Holder, Arkansas
Billie, saw you are a distant kinsman to the above man, or his father, Joseph Mitchell Holder, MO.
David's memorial is: 36619571.
Would you email me (address on profile page) if you know, whether D.M. Holder was a Baptist minister?
Looking if he is 'right' person.
Thanks for any reply. winnie (you may also reply on my message board here.)
