Bio and Links
Bio Photo Any actual or perceived disrespect present in communications will be reported to FAG then declined or deleted, regardless of the reason for the contact.

I place transcribed obituaries on memorials to validate the information given; which I will continue to do. If FAG would have thought this through, they wouldn't have rules against it.

ATTENTION: If I am treated the same respect you want to be treated, great! I treat people as they treat me. I am not intimidated by bullies and will not back down. Everybody in the U.S. has a right to their own opinion, just don't force it upon others.

If you have additions or corrections, it would be greatly appreciated if you would upload substantiating documentation to the memorial then make your request(s). Upon receipt of your request being honored feel free to delete the documents from the memorial. This policy should not be construed as combative as it's merely my attempt at accuracy. Additions/corrections without supporting documentation will be declined. Transcribed metarial will not be accepted. In the case of my family members, additions/corrections without documentation will be taken under advisement and further research but will not be implemented. It is inconceivable that this policy can be anything less than welcomed with open arms.

Please do not transcribe a document in an email and send it as part of your request. Corrections/additions using this method will not be honored. Upload the supporting document to the proper memorial then submit your request. The inability to comply with these instructions will be cause for ignoring your future requests for that particular person until compliance is achieved. Please remember the supporting documentation must be readable.

Please do not make requests for birth date changes on memorials where I have given a death age which came from the tombstone or other source unless you provide supporting documentation for the change. I too can do the math but doing so is only an assumption. I assume nothing because it is inaccurate and could propagate misinformation.

Also, if you discover one of my memorials for a living person, remember they placed the information in a public place (cemetery) ahead of my posting it here so don't give me grief for it.

I will not transfer blocks of memorials. This includes, but is not limited to blocks of surnames and whole cemeteries. If you are not blood related, don't ask.

SORRY . . .
I wish to apologize for my thinking the members who do not provide a contact link has something to hide. I was very wrong and am now painfully aware its purpose is to preserve one's sanity and maintain a healthy blood pressure!

Just a personal observation . . .
Some people post obituaries on the memorials of deceased individuals. Fine, I don't have the slightest issue with that. But some of them feel they can edit the obit to their liking. Obituaries are provided by that person's loved one(s) so what gives anybody the right to alter them? First of all obits are copyrighted by the newspaper they appeared in. Besides, they were published in a newspaper. A newspaper is a public notification of a birth, marriage, death, news article, etc. so, if you feel the need to hide something which appeared in an obituary, simply don't post it. I for one, am of a minority who strives for credibility and accuracy!

RE: Glen R. Olson (#88863645)
I found a picture of Selma Olson taken while she was teaching at the Ring School, the last year it was in existence. I believe she also taught my mother in the second grade!

No, I am not related. Which is rare around these parts. We can normally find a connection to almost anyone in this cemetery! LoL!

Dave, You are MORE than welcome! My mother and 3 of my distant cousins have been out working in that cemetery every weekend for 3 weeks now. We will get this stone cleaned up a bit for you....just haven't gotten to that section yet. But in the meantime I am photographing all of the stones that I can. If there is anything else in this area or county that we can photograph or do for you, just let me know! Much appreciative of your kind words. Thanks, Allison
P.S. Are you related to Glen and Selma Olson?

Betts Edit
Hi Dave, Thanks for asking for documentation to support my Edit for Arthur Betts.

It comes from a book at our library, in the genealogy part of the library.
I don't have the exact name of the book. Every name in the book served in--The Spanish-American, Indian Wars, The Civil War, World War I or II, and The Mexican War.

I will upload the page where I got his name from.

Info about Sally L. Cook Goodrich
Hi Dave,

My ancestor, Sally L. Cook Goodrich, is your Find A Grave Memorial# 57418115. I have been looking for any info on her parents' names or the place of her nativity and have come up with nothing. Do you have any info on these data? I know that she was a schoolteacher 'Miss Cook' in Walton, New York, before she married Elnathan Goodrich as his second wife there, but she could have come from anywhere in the English speaking world to be a schoolteacher. Also, your date of her marriage might contain a typo, as it says '1913' rather than '1813', as on p. 157 of The Goodrich Family in America book. If you happen to have any leads on Sally's possible origins or background, I'd be most grateful if you'd share.

Thank you,

Robert "Rusk" Huggins
Mr. Lehman,

I can't remember if I had contacted you before regarding Mr. Huggins. I created a duplicate which by the rules of this site, I should remove. I have more information that I added as I found his obituary. Before removing mine, I was wondering if you would like to add additional information to your memorial.

Please advise.
