Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt.

I don't do estimated birth years. The relatives of the dearly departed not only could get the date of death wrong on the monument but the age at death. Too many people take anything they find on the Internet as gospel, and I will not contribute to that bad habit.

PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship. I will not transfer out of guidelines. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. Use the edit system. Too many people have requested out-of-guidelines transfers and then never added so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.

I WILL NOT link to a "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.

If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.

My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

Sources for additional memorial information include:
Suggest A Correction, NEHGS,,, NARA, other on-line sources, personal library, obituaries, newspaper items, etc.

Clara Hudson Memorial# 40620242

Thanks for the correction of Clara's date of death. As with most edits, I try to double check the data. After reading your "bio," it seems you've taken care of that, but out of habit, I took a quick look at GenealogyBank. Not the typical obit!

I see references to being a presenter on a number of subjects. As President of the Western Mass Genealogical Society and its "accidental" program manager, I appreciate the chance to talk with you about our 2017 schedule and the possibility of having you as a guest at one of our monthly meetings.

Our last member survey indicates as strong desire of our membership to hear about legacy societies and the process to submit successful applications. As a recent inductee of the Pomeroy Chapter of the SAR, I have an appreciation of the difficulties. I'd speak about it but I think they've seen enough of me!!

I apologize for all this here in a public message forum as your personal email is understandably not included in your profile. But please contact me at so we can have a conversation outside of Find-A-Grave.

Doogie's Memorial
I want to thank you for sponsoring the memorial I added for my little dog Doogie. My Little Guy followed me all over the house all day long, every single day. I really miss him, but I remember happy memories instead of feeling sadness. Doogie was a big-dog personality in a small-dog body. While most dogs run from vacuum cleaners and brooms, he had to be in the middle of the whole operation; and I never figured out why in all the years he lived with me. He was intelligent and intensely curious, so maybe that was his reason--that he might discover something interesting--or to eat!

Hi, PK, and thanks for the info. I also added some data from my own files to her memorial, that of her husband Ernest L. Damon, and those of his parents.

Timothy Edwards
I created another Timothy Edwards page. (I did have one showing him as being buried in Stockbridge but it must have been found to be a duplicate and removed). Tonight I will link their children. I might add a higher resolution version of the picture too, that one was from when there were smaller size restrictions on findagrave (2010)

Hi, again,
Thanks for taking two photos of my grandmother's gravestoneó one from above. I'm guessing you were trying to get a good picture of her name as inscribed, which I really appreciate. It's a shame that it's so worn away that you just can hardly read it even it you are on top of it.

You know, my parents were SO cheap (frugal) that when you complimented them on something that they had acquired (this is a joke I made up,) they would say "Marshall's" instead of "Thank you." Or "Yard sale" or some such. You get the idea. It's the opposite of conspicuous consumption. Yankees, through and through.

So I imagine they scrimped on the quality of the stone they got for her. Well, you get what you pay for! Now another stone right there, the ones for the Smith's (Henry Boynton and Elizabeth Lee) was brought from Maine (where he came from) and it's terrific!
Thanks again!
