I was born in Santa Monica, CA in 1936 to Frank C. Bishop & Martha Janet Pratt. I am the oldest of nine children. Our family moved to the San Fernando Valley, CA in 1949. I met my husband Robert Lee Whelchel in High School and we were married in 1954. We had 4 sons to carry the Whelchel name on. We have lost 2 of our sons. We are Grandparents and Gr. Grandparents.|
I started doing serious genealogy in 1970 and had already taped stories from my Grandparents, Aunts and Uncle's, on both my husband and my families. My passion is to keep our heritage and ancestors alive in the minds of our children and their children children's. I have put together 3 books for our families, on the stories and pictures that have been passed down to me. Two on my paternal & maternal side and one book on my husbands maternal side, I am now working on my husbands paternal (Whelchel) side. I have had 6 yrs. as a car hop for Bob's Drive Inn in Van Nuys, CA 10 yrs.in banking I was transferred to the Redding Office in 1969, and 24 yrs in both Hospitals here in Redding, CA. I enjoy researching and writing about our ancestors stories & life struggles and pleasures of our ancestors time.
I am on oxygen 24-7, but if I get information on the Cemetery and the Sec.,Lot & space, I can find the grave site. My husband Robert Lee Whelchel is a Artist and as you can see his Art Logo is on his shirt, he is a great help, we are a good team.

Also you put up a picture for Conrad Swingle and so did someone else. But you both have different pictures. The other one was not fallen over. Do you have a clearer picture of the stone.
Thank you for your help.

I sent you an email to continue our conversation there.
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
|Angelic Long Wilmouth||Olive Nelson Linwood Cemetery|
Hi again :)
I noticed the post below my last one from Stan. i have helped him before so I followed the conversation you two had about Olive Nelson. I am the only one in this area it seems that does the Linwood requests. I remembered Olive Nelson because I went back to Linwood numerous times to find her. She does not have a headstone so the request was removed. There are some Nelsons in the area stated & you can tell there are unmarked graves in that area. Im guessing Olive is in one of the unmarked graves.
|Angelic Long Wilmouth||Anna Weedman|
I am researching the Weedman family & I saw you left a message for Anna Weedman in Victoria Il cemetery calling her Grandma. I am wondering how you are related?
|Stanley Weidenhammer||Linwood Cemetery|
We made a trip to IL in 2004 to take pictures of headstones of people that are related to me. We also stopped at other cemeteries in IL.
There also was family in Williamsport, IN so we stopped at Highlands cemetery.
It was a great trip.
|Stanley Weidenhammer||RE: Olive June Elblom Johnson Nelson|
I would gladly take the picture but I live in Reading, PA. I know how you feel about wanting pictures. I just can't help you on this one.
|Joe Skorupa||RE: Martha A. Yonkey Armbruster|
you're welcome, I'm glad I could help.
Here is the plot information for Clinton:
Wyuka is great because you can search online. You can go here to put in the name for whom you're searching:
You can search by last name or type in last name, first name and click on submit query.
For the other large cemeteries in Lincoln - Lincoln Memorial and Calvary Cemetery, you must call or email to ask for interment information.
I hope that helps,
