I always knew that I would do some kind of volunteer work upon retiring. I came upon Find A Grave while researching our (wife and I) ancestry. I have never enjoyed photography, but I truly enjoy claiming, locating, taking pictures, and posting the marker/headstone for the requestors. My biggest disappointment is finding that a gravesite does not have a marker or headstone.

I do volunteer photos, but I also enjoy taking photos of markers for the veterans interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona and posting them to the memorial that was established by another volunteer.

I served 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring as an E7 (Master Sergeant) 1961-1981.

After retiring from the AF I was employed by the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Federal Investigator and accountant.

I just double checked and you were correct on your listing, she is in lower Cane Island Cemetery. Thanks!

Hi Jerry!!! I'm almost positive it's the upper part of the cemetery. I'm waiting on a date for Marylene Goldsmith, but I do know she was cremated in Carmel, CA. I think the date will be around 2002, but I want to make sure I add factual dates, if I can find them.

Hi Jerry,
I went out to the cemetery a few hours ago, took a photo of the new marker, and added it to your brother's memorial page. Take care.

I asked my dad and he said he only remembered Aunt Emilia. He doesn't remember as well as he use to. I will check around and see what I can find out.

Photo Request
Jerry, Can you take photo of marker for Dorothy Jean Dicus at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix and post? You did one for her mother, Dorothy Averyt Dicus. Both are buried in Section 36; Dorothy Jean is a few rows east of her mother and at the street. She was a little girl when she died. Thank you very much. Carolyn Bradshaw, Dicus kin.
