When my father passed in 2010 I inherited the family genealogical quest (or should I say...Bit by the Genealogy Bug). He left me several boxes which included items such as letters, marriage and death certificates, wills and even photos going as far back as the Civil War. With direct family at both Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Cemeteries in Philadelphia, I like to visit them as often as I can. So I will attempt to fulfill Photo Requests from there when I'm up in that area.
I truly enjoy helping others locate their family & friends and will continue to do everything I can to help document their requests. I also sincerely appreciate those who have been helping me through this website!
Admittedly you will see that I have uploaded a lot more Photos than I have Memorials. I tend to go a bit overboard, trying to provide memorials with not only a photo of the headstone but also of the area & surrounding (2-3 shots/site). I feel it provides prospective for viewers of the memorial and also if anyone goes looking for the actual plot, they will hopefully have an easier time locating it by the area shots I provide.
I look forward to continuing the journey.

The thing is, I'm not sure that all 3 of these boys are not brothers. Being together like that makes me think they are. Just not sure of why they would have a James and a Jimmy. I know one had died when the other was born. Trying to find some of the family that might know for sure. Thanks again for your help.

|Bud||Second mystery solved.|
Thanks again. Now you have solved why they did not show up in the search when I put them on in 2010 with data I received.
Best to you and all yours, Bud

No, that does it for me. I was settling a dispute on where they were buried. You solved it for sure.
Thanks again, Bud

Thank you so much for taking the time to fulfill my photo request. I really appreciate it.
|Jamey Deeter||Jones Family - Laurel Hill Cemetery|
Thank you so very much for the use of the photos & the kind offer to take more photos. Jacob Jones & Catharine (Rowen) Jones had 7 known children, however because of you photographing the surrounding tombstones, an 8th child previously unknown was located. Thank you so very much. Kate Jones is now with her family on the family tree. It appears there are two other daughters & their spouses also buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ann Elizabeth (Jones) Sheble & husband George Henry Sheble. Almira F. (Jones) Williamson & husband William Corkin Williamson Sr. I have added Ann & George's memorials already and will add Almira's & William's when I complete my research & send the photo requests. Thank you! Abigail Deeter
