You have a request for a photo of Ellen Reed wife of John Reed buried at Center Baptist Cemetery. I have a photo but the name on the headstone is Hellen Reed wife of John Reed and I believe the date of death on the stone is 30 Jan. 1888.If you would like me to post this please let me know.

Janice, I will see what I can find. I'm not sure the newspapers go back to 1881, but will let you know. By the inscription on the headstone, I would say you are right that Josie is his daughter. Rita

I think so as they do belong together

That's pathetic. So formally complaining about them doesn't make a difference either. Do you happen to know the location of the grave? Do they know what relation you are to your loved one? If you have the location or can get the location then I will take the picture for you. I have a map of the cemetery so I don't need them. I was the one who took most of the pics from there. Legally they can't stop anyone from taking pictures of the graves, but they don't have to help you. If you don't have the location, call the office and pretend you are a close relative. To them that means immediate family, grandchildren & children. That's their supposed criteria for giving out grave locations. I had an encounter with a woman there who wouldn't even give me the name of the funeral director so I can get the information from him. Mind you, this is publication information and they are holding it back. So there isn't a legal reason for them it's just plain nasty. I would be happy to take the picture so let me know. Here is my personal email address. firstname.lastname@example.org. Email me at that address with the location.

Hi there: Thanks so much for letting me know that. I'm quite surprised to say the least. That would be great if they had a change of heart. It would help a lot of people.
Glad I could help. My grandparents, Great-grandparents and 1 set of Aunt and Uncle are buried at Hall Cemetery so I'm there often

They're not related to me. The closest I come to being related is the girls had both an aunt and an uncle on their mother's side that were married to VanCamp siblings. The VanCamps that they were married to are my 2nd cousins 4x removed. I was just going back through my Evans Cemetery pictures and trying to figure out who some of them were. Thanks for linking them to their parents.
