RE: Elsie Rosebrook Weed #6315703
Thank you, Jack, for getting back to me so quick. I'm going to fix up her bio for Wendy with all the documented info I have now. They didn't have a son Wesley... nor was he the father of Ralph; and actually her daughters Ruth and Reta were not the children of her 1st husband either. lol

I'm sure she will get a lot of messages telling her to change things. It took a lot of digging, but I now have all the documentation. lol

Could you tell me what record you found of Elsie & Wesley Hastings having a son named Wesley?

Lot of scarce records so I can't find a trace of him, although there was a large gap between when they married and when their 1st child was born (which btw was Elsie in 1931). Loren was born in 1933. I figure you must have seen him someplace and didn't just make up the name. lol

Ralph wasn't their son. He was Elsie's son with a man named Thomas Nolan. Ralph was listed incorrectly as a Hastings in the 1930 census but was a Nolan in the 1940 census; then his SS Application finally names his parents as Thomas Nolan and Elsie H. Rosebrook. Don't know if they actually married yet.

I don't know if you filled in the bio because they were related to you in some way or not, but thought I would just tell you what I found while I was asking you about son Wesley.

I know Wendy has the memorial now and I am helping her verify and fix it up.

thank you,

Thank you very much for moving the photo. I was sure her name also appeared on the stone. Great to have another family member located.
Thanks again,

RE: Ruth (Twombly) and Maurice Vance
Hi Jack,
Send my thanks to Rick Utton for also helping with photos. Pauline and I are 2nd cousins twice removed. Although I never met her or her family I am always grateful to people like you who allow me to see my ancestors final resting place. My grandmother's maiden name was Twombly and that is why I am researching the genealogy side of the family. Do you know if Jack Healey is still living? I haven't been able to find any more information on him except he married Grace Stevens and has two children.
Keep up the good work and it is much appreciated. I will keep checking Irasburg Cemetery to see if you happen to find some of my other relatives.
Also keep cool. It is very hot and dry here in Texas.

Irasburg cemetery

I was wondering if all the memorials you have added for Kidder in Irasburg cemetery is all of the folks buried there? I am looking for Joseph Kidder, born in 1862 and died in 10/25/1898 in Irasburg. I do not know the area so it is possible he could be in another cemetery.
