I've enjoyed family searching for many years. It's so nice to have memorial pages for loved ones here on Find A Grave to visit, leave notes and flowers. My other hobbies are my husband of 45 years, my 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I'll be glad to correct any mistakes or add any information to memorials I've added. I will be ready to transfer a memorial to a family member if asked. Feel free to use any photos I've added to memorials.|

|Mindy Thompson||Mary Fortune & Henry Jacobs headstone|
#80670879 memorial number
Hey Jan, I gotta question.... do you have any idea about the years 1792-1872 at the bottom of the headstone? Is that suppose to be for Mary or Henry Jacobs ? and then regardless of which one it is for, those years are different than the years on the placard/written information for Mary (1835-1917) and Henry (1833-1871) so I'm confused but wondering if the headstone for Mary and Henry Jacobs is the correct one for the written information.
Tid bit of info: according to the Hardeman County Historical Sketches Book pg 187 (right column), the writer of the bio, Faye Jacobs Owens (Hardeman Co Historian) states that this couple had 6 children, but does not name them, she also says they married in 1854.
Thanks & just curious !

|Shirley C McKenzie||Just A Hello|
You don't know how many times I come across your work and smile but I think I should tell you that I appreciate all you have done over the years. As time goes by I keep finding more and more relatives and many of them would not be so well know except for work done by you and others like you. I am more of a taker than a giver, but appreciate what you have done. Blessings. Your Cartwright Cousin, Shirley (Cartwright/Rogers) McKenzie, descendant of Mary 'Polly' Cartwright sister to Thomas Cartwright who married Lavinia (Rogers) Cartwright Jones.....
|Dale Schaefer||Nannie/Dell Butler Elmwood|
Hi...been working with the Butlers lately. I did a little cleaning on their stones that you might want to check out. Dell's gives his birth year differently from your date. As for Nannie, her death year never got inscribed, but the stone, which she purchased herself, gives a birth year of 1863. Recently ran across a newspaper article on her written in 1933 for the Memphis Press-Schimitar by Eldon Roark. Very interesting.

I visited the coordinates attached to this cemetery today and found the little Deming Cemetery. The cemetery is located a short distance from Toone, TN but does not have the two burials
you have listed. Check out Deming Cemetery that was read in 2004 by Jason Presley and the two missing stones I added.
|Allen Reedy Curtis||William Hicks Abernathy|
William is buried in Abernathy Cemetery per TNGENWEB inventory. This inventory included a reading of the headstones. I reviewed his death certificate and it does say Dry Hill Cemetery; however there are no Abernathy's in the TNGENWEB headstone reading of Dry Hill. His wife Winnie is also in Abernathy where it reflects they share a headstone. Would you review your entry and if you agree with me would you move William to Abernathy in Lauderdale County.
