|Originally from the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA, I now live north of Philadelphia, PA and have been involved with genealogy my entire life. Having relatives that have been in the United States since the 1700's makes it a long, tough, interesting journey to find out information about them. I especially enjoy researching the various wars that they have been involved in from the Revolutionary War through the current ones. The internet makes things a lot easier than it used to be.|
I am always interested in certain family names such as: Fife/Patterson, Breinig/Lattien, Brown/Thomas and Cyprych/Rudzki from the Pittsburgh area. The other names are Lare/Austin, McKinley/Hasenpflug, Miller/Wisler and Sheeler/Retallack from the Philadelphia/Kulpmont areas.

Sorry for the delay. Per your message to me, all were transferred to you today.
|JMLonczak||James Mitchell/ Mary Lusk/ Jane Mitchell/ John Wright|
I am researching my Mitchell line. You have transcribed info on a James Mitchell who marries Mary Lusk but then you also have Mary Lusk married to John Wright (who I think actually married her daughter, Jane). http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=89134385&ref=acom
Can you please clarify this? And can you please tell me where you found this information...So that I can find it as well—these Mitchells have been hard to straighten out.
Were you actually able to find headstones with this information? If so, where are they?

|Charlotte McConaha||Re: Mitchell's|
I will check and take care of that in a few days when I am at my computer. It is a little harder to do from my phone. I wanted to check and see if they were related to Judge James Payne Mitchell. Which is my husbands 3rd great grandfather.

Scott, This was my great grandfather. Minnie was my grandmother.leon adkins was my father.remember hearing stories about (kid) but thought it was folk lure. I'm guessing Charlotte was your wives grandmother.This is a great photo! I have very few photos of my fathers people.

Hi Scott -- I've transferred the Wisler memorial to you. It's a shame the marker isn't more legible.
|B. Morrow||RE: Cemetery Transfer Requests|
Yes, the James morrow family I believe on some level is related to most of the burials in the old section of Bethel. Caldwell thru Johnston, mc millan lesnett and surprise fife. Most of my knowledge came from updating the Bennett books on the family of Rev. John McMillan. And one on family of Christian Lesnett. We areAlso related to many in center Presby. I have developed some health problems so transfer is in some ways a blessing. Just please tell me a little about yourself. Are you actively researching the roots here and maybe near Lisbon, Ohio?bethel done--will work on center
|Dr. James M. Owston||RE: Request for transfers|
