Bio Photo .Grampa understood that 'doing' is the best teacher. When I was 7, during Thanksgiving vacation, my teacher asked us to ask any visiting relatives, about their parents and grandparents and we will be able to fill what she called our family tree.
I took Grampa's clues and I looked up info. in encylopedia's my parents had. My great teacher allowed me to bring home a globe, to help with my interest in this topic. Grampa and I had our heads over that globe all evening. He showed me how to find the similiar map, flat in those encylopedias, by comparing the letters,(which I knew and loved) in a word, no matter how big, to know I had a match.
. Grampa died of cancer, just weeks after that incredable project.
> My Uncle Bill has much of these same teaching skills. He took this niece with so many questions to the other end of the cemetery, and showed me who was there, that I could call mine. He took me to the family's homestead, in Fruita, that was nothing resembling what it was when he married my Mom's sister, and described what he remembered. I Walked in their footsteps.
Thirty years later, it was his words in my eyes and Grampa's in my ears, that took me to a place, I call home.

...........
. When I fulfill a request, I will get every family member, surounding my original request. If I can catch connecting names, either in the field or in the records, I get those as well. IN family plots I will always try to find those within the plot that do not have stones and forward that as well....I will always ask you to set up their memorials if they do not already have one. MOST of you are very willing, and it is a great encouragement for me to keep trying to locate requests and information from Cemetery Office records. That problem I have with numbers, is a disadvantage here, but I do love to read and research and that works on this site.

As a child, I wanted to time travel backward. Now there are specific people I would like to meet.
History is my Passion. Knowing how my Family Connects is the Cream on top.

RE: Riddle
i will be glad to link them on your behalf my mother was the care taker for many years for that cemetery and ive been doing genealogy since 1996 and have photographed and posted most of blevins cemetery i may has misread the birth date as it is hard to read on the marker, we had to use chalk and water at the time we took the inscriptions.

Wow,
You really got busy with these records! I just learned this morning that Walter James was the grandson of Walter John and was planning to send you some info but you're way ahead of me. I may add some photos later.

Thanks very much.
