I am a PK (Pastor's Kid), so I have lived in many different places during my lifetime, and I don't really claim any one of them as "home", although I did live in northern Virginia for 25 years as an adult.

But both of my parents were born and raised in the farming community of Meadow, near Benson, NC, and both of their families have lived in Johnson County for generations. This makes it relatively easy to research my ancestors. But there are over 1000 cemeteries in Johnston County, and many of them are not easy to find. I enjoy visiting cemeteries and looking for an unexpected surprise.

I enjoy taking photos for other people who are not so lucky to have most of their ancestors in one geographical area. I think of my grave searches as scavenger hunts.

Did not locate her in Cemetery Census in Sampson or Johnston Counties. Did not find a marriage license in Family Search. Did not find any clues in Ancestry Family Trees. Looking at censuses, I have a strong hunch she is the daughter of James Daniel Williams (#78524948) and Julia Arimathea Dawson Williams (#78524913) of Mingo, Sampson County like Joseph. Since she died before 1909 there would not be a death certificate. Being so young, I would picture her being buried with her parents or in a small family cemetery. You might want to check the gen web sites in Sampson County or try and find more information on the cemetery her parents are buried in. I did locate another son of Joseph and Mattie and have requested links. As a researcher, it's so exciting how quickly information is snowballing since Ancestry is managing FindaGrave and Family Search. Appreciate your research and photography contributions.

Hi Connie. I want to do work at the cemetery but Im not sure exactly where it is. I know the main roads but its a big area. You have the only photo done in the cemetery. Can you tell me where it is.

Thank you.
