I was born in CA.and moved to IA.in 1971 when my Dad retired from the U.S.Navy.He was born in Blanchard,IA.|
My Mother hails from Hamilton,OH.but was raised around Santa Cruz,CA.
I served as an Infantry Scout in the Army National Guard. So "scouting" out stones & ancestors is right up my alley.Lol.
I personally find it disturbing that someone would rather hold on to a memorial that they are not related to because of the findagrave 4 generation "guidelines".It is a GUIDELINE people not a RULE.Geez!
I would prefer my created memorials were with family no matter how far down the line or even a friend. At least they are FAMILY or a FRIEND!Isn't that why we do this?
DUPLICATES-I previously was glad to remove mine whether it had been created first or not.But as of late people are blatantly adding duplicates without looking first.Just because they may be your family doesn't mean you can undo someone else's work.Because of this I will no longer remove mine (there are exceptions)if made first and then I will have findagrave remove the duplicate you made.
Edits,corrections,additions etc. gladly made.
If I use your gravestone photo on my family tree I give you credit with a simple "Photo courtesy of (your member name) findagrave".Because I so appreciate the kindness and hard work you do to get me a picture of my ancestors.
Any and all pictures I take are for you,so they are yours to use as you feel. The only exception being those marked "Courtesy of" which means I got those from someone else and was used with their permission.
If I have added a family member or your memorial and you have not passed yet and it upsets you PLEASE let me know and I will remove it immediately. It is not my intention to upset anyone.
I AM NOT,NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE PERFECT!

No problem, you decide. I happened upon Andrew on a trip to the cemetery in 2012. I was looking for Banksons among other family members. Now that I also have found him, I leave a flag by his grave when I go through the area. So you are related to the Thompsons?

Would you be willing to transfer Andrew T Bankson 63030913 to me? He is the brother of my 2nd great grandmother.

Thanks for freely sharing your headstone photos and for saying that in your profile statement so I didn't have to send you an email asking if it was okay. I appreciate all the hard work you have done and just wanted you to know.

I can't thank you enough for what must be the fastest response ever to a photo request! You even went above and beyond by including the stone faces that I neglected to request. Many thanks for your fine work in helping us to remember my wife's 4x great-grandfather!
