RE: Cavanaugh Family

I can arrange to be at St. Vincent's on Sunday as long as it isn't pouring. That makes a lousy photo day. I am 98% certain I got all of the headstones for the family but I can recheck. One other thing I can recommend is calling St. Vincent's and getting the locations of the plots. You may also have some luck contacting the Madison Historical Society, When is your book deadline?

RE: Cavanaugh Family

I am sorry I wasn't more clear. I photographed the entire cemetery as of October 2014. Members of my family have lived in Madison NJ since the 1850's. A number of them are buried in St. Vincent's. Unfortunately some of them including my my 3x times and 2x great grandparents have no headstones. Others do have them. I will look in the area where the Cavanaughs are the next time I was there.

RE: Cavanaugh Family
Thanks for contacting me. I spent half of 2013 and april to October 2014 walking all of St. Vincents. I have at least 100 direct line and extended family members buried there. I wanted to find them all. To my dismay there were more than a few without headstones. I can't state that we didn't miss anyone because being human that is likely. I didn't have any plans to return to the cemetery in the near future, except to visit the family graves. I will keep my eyes open for any more Cavanaughs. I might be able to find some obituary information at the Madison Library my next visit there. If you give me information I'll see what I can find.

McTigue in St Joseph
Found his Family plot earlier this year. I have photographed all the markers and submitted corrections to the creators. However it started raining and the rain will show on the originals but I will retake them in the spring and re-post better photos. You are welcome to submit photo requests for the following McTigue's
Mary - 1824 -1901 Wife of John Sr # 141249836
John Jr 1859 - 1931 # 18409469
Mary 1857 - 1874 # 141251205
Darby 1865 -1922 # 18645622
Martin 1865 - 1922 # 18645593
Catherine C 1868 - 1915 #

Judging from records found on Hugh's # 18645604 Darby's, John J, Julia C, # 18409405, and Rose Conners # 112047516 I have submitted corrections to help compile the family. If you know the family tree please send the layout to me so I can correct my edits. And if you are Related I can transfer the ones I created..

Thank you! One of my Dale branches :) Do you happen to have the inscription of the headstone? I can make out the years and days but not months.
Thanks again!

RE: David Sammis
You are very welcome. I am so happy I was able to find anyone in that cemetery. There is no real organization there. It is somewhat difficult to find someone if you don't know where they are placed. Thank you for being a part of our community. :)

Webber photo request, Snug Harbor
Hi, Ms Sammis. I thought I'd start informing photo requesters that I've been to Sailor's Snug Harbor Cemetery and from what I can tell there are only 16 marked tombstones left on the site, all have FG memorials and pictures.

John Joseph Nathaniel Webber (Aug. 18, 1829 - Oct., 1909) is not there. The marker may be buried or have disappeared, but if it is one of the many small sometimes numbered 'generic' stones it could be in storage at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. I'm working on permission to cataloge and photograph those stones, I'll let you know whatever I can discover about John Joseph Nathaniel Webber. You might be aware of the following records, but just in case here are links....

this funeral home record lists some folks who's last residence was Snug Harbor.

I suggest you keep the photo request open, as there may be developments. Thank you, Rob F

RE: Scanlans
Hi Gina,
You are most welcome, glad to help. As for the Burlinson family, I don't find any people by that name listed in the cemetery book I have.
Sincerely, Ron Kinney
