Bio Photo My paternal families are Bronson and Roby.
My maternal families are Thomas, Evans and Weaver.

Please feel free to use the tombstone pictures I take of your family for your personal use. Anyone could have walked into the cemetery and taken the picture. They are your family I just happened to be the person to take the picture.

When sending me corrections please send some source that I can verify.
I receive too many suggestions that rely upon Ancestry family trees. I belong to Ancestry. Too many times I see people "Cut, copy and paste information" to their family trees. If you actually look at the sources cited you will find that many times they don't match up. I like to have at least two sources for verification, yours and mine.

I just noticed that you request sources. My sources for my Schermerhorn information are "Schermerhorn Genealogy and Family Chronicles" by Richard Schermerhorn, Jr (New York; Tobias A. Wright, Publisher, 1914); and Kathy Last's North Gage Cemetery List. Also gained knowledge from meetings and correspondence with Helen Schermerhorn 67856400.
I appreciate your good work.

Thanks for the Jaquay info. Sounds like you are on vacation. Are you from Albany/Delmar area? There are three Trinity Lutheran Churches in the area. Does only one have a cemetery? I don't find a memorial for Bertha or Franklin. Any other info you have would be appreciated.
Thank you

I've only been at this find a grave for 3 weeks. I love doing it.

RE: 75491057
My apologies! It should have been Jacob R.
There was a Jacob R (no memorial), husband of Lucretia 75491051. Their daughter Alida 75491937 married Ryer 75491055. They had a son Jacob R 75491045 that you have up. He is the grandson od Lucretia and Jacob R.

The dates on the memorial are the same as those on Kathy last's list Jan 6,1877.

His wife, Sarah E.Perkins 75491056 lived until 1899. Is her name on the tall monument anywhere or does she have another stone?

These Dutch ancestors of ours really clung to patronymics...too many Jacobs, Ryers, Alidas, etc.

Your photos are very good & very much appreciated.

This must be the wife of Jacob B Schermerhorn 75491057. I put a photo request in. Would like to know if her marker is near Jacob B's.
Thanks for your help.

Do you have grave pictures or middle name of Adel (4171)? I am trying to create memorial for Franklyn Joseph Jaquay d 2000, Chico Ca, married to my aunt. He was born in Schenectady (sp) in 1916. His obit lists mother as Bertha and father as Frank.

Sorry. The name of the grandson's wife was Sarah E. Perkins, not Susan.

I think I may have it!A Jacob R was mar to Lucretia Covert and their daughter was Alida Schermerhorn born 25 June 1789 mar Ryer Schermerhorn (a cousin) and died 13 Apr 1813. Alida was Ryer's 1st wife. They had a son Jacob born 9 Jan 1810 and died in Deerfield in Aug 1880.So he was the grandson of the first Jacob R.
The grandson Jacob R married Susan E. Perkins.
Is it possible that you have seen a Susan Perkins? I have no dates for her.

Thank you for the photos of Jacob R Schermerhorn 75491045 and Lucretia Covert 75491051.They were husband and wife, but Jacob's inscription shows dates much later than they have been listed in the Family Chronicles which show that Jacob R was born 1761, married Lucretia 1785 and died in Deerfield 6 Jan 1813.
Since Lucretia was born 1768 and died 1813, those dates make sense.
Although we know of no other Jacob R, it looks as though this stone is for the wrong one.
Can you tell me if the two stones are near each other? I very much appreciate your help.
