July, 2015
I will have limited computer access during July. I will make all updates as time allows.

When I walk a cemetery, I make a note of other nearby relatives, the section/area I am in and include it in my transcriptions. When you are researching a 'John Smith', it helps to know if there are other 'Smith' names next to him. It is very helpful having any plot information.
Some cemeteries restrict photo taking by non-family members. Having any plot information helps all of the photo volunteers.
When I first started, I just wrote down names without photos. Now I take photos of all of the headstones.

Quite often I find myself researching the folks that I create memorials for, adding additional information and linking as many as I can locate.

As time allows, I am willing to do some Oregon obituary research for others. This is my form of 'Pay It Forward'.

I will make corrections/additions to any memorial that I have created.

All requests are verified before I change the memorial.

Douglas McCallum
Regarding the photo you took for Douglas McCallum, #105288459. Please take a look at photo. It is a grave marker for two other individuals. It may need to be removed.

Thanks,
Stardust

Wasn't looking for a transfer. Have been searching for living relatives and thought perhaps . . . you & I - oh well.
If you'd like to transfer them I promise to take good care of their memorials. When I find deceased descendants I tend to create or update memorials So, if I find children I'll add them to the family. Your colleague, Chuck Black

Thank you so much! Arthur Burton French is my wife's Great-Grandfather and my 23 Cousin ;-)
Funny world, huh? Are we related via Arthur? Did Birdie have children? Your colleague, Chuck Black

RE: Gillon
Thanks for letting me know. Just curious if you've seen other Gillon headstones at Belcrest Memorial Park? In particular Robert Henry Gillon d. 11 June 1938 and Grace Tabitha Gillon d. 15 November 1945.

I did move his memorial to Belcrest based on the marker.

Salem Pioneer's website still lists him as being there; they normally say if the person was moved but it does not say that.

We took all the photos in Salem Pioneer a number of years ago and apparently did not find a stone for him at that time. I did find out later that we had missed a few. It was the 2nd cemetery we did so we were still new at taking photos. I suspect we may have got off course somehow. It never hurts to look again just in case it got missed.

RE: Horace Eldriedge
Ann,
I think I agree with your finding. Just finished some tracking down. I think my mistake was putting the marriage date for his father and mother on the wrong mother. (Got it from ancestry.com) One of the documents I looked at had a date of 1924 for Lola's marriage which makes sense. Trying to track down if Lola and Clarence are buried beside each other. They are in the same cemetery where as Lelia is buried in Newburg Friends cemetery.
Thanks for the push to do some further diffing.

Thank you for your reply concerning Horace Elderidge.
I got most of my information from ancestry.com concerning parents (We all know how accurate they are, ha ha). I will indeed check out your leads. Thanks again for filling me in. I'm working on the Ruble family and it is almost impossible to keep up.
