May, 2016 I will have limited computer access during May. I will make all updates as time allows. * * * * *
When I walk a cemetery, I make a note of other nearby relatives, the section/area I am in and include it in my transcriptions. When you are researching a 'John Smith', it helps to know if there are other 'Smith' names next to him. Some cemeteries restrict photo taking by non-family members. Having any plot information helps all of the photo volunteers. When I first started, I just wrote down names without photos. Now I take photos of all of the headstones.
Quite often I find myself researching the folks that I create memorials for, adding additional information and linking as many as I can locate.
As time allows, I am willing to do some Oregon obituary research for others. This is my form of 'Pay It Forward'.
* * * * * I will make corrections/additions to any memorial that I have created.
All requests are verified before I change the memorial. * * * * *
* * * Find A Grave states that all photographs belong to the person that took the photo, per COPYRIGHT rules. When posting a photo to any other website or software, please make a notation of the person's name that took the photo. He or she should be acknowledged for their photo.
Harvey and Mildred Gibbens Ann Harvey #73289590 and Mildred #73289596 Gibbens are my aunt and uncle on my mothers side. Even though they are not direct line ancestors I would like to maintain their memorials so I can update bios and link family members. They were very important in the process of our family geology Would you be willing to transfer them to me. If not please let me know so I can send Bio information. I have sent an edit to link them as spouses. Thank you for your work and consideration on this.
Janet Marlene Leri I just added a record for Janet, 160978656, who was the daughter of Anthony Mark Leri (1912 - 1945), 106519634, and Mary V Leri (1914 - 1982), 105047229. At some point in time you uploaded a photo of Anthony and Mary's headstone to their records. Janet is also on their headstone and was wondering if you still had that photo and if you would now save it to Janet's record? Thanks for your time and work.
