Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been a contributor on this site for over 14 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

|Barb ||re; my dad....Memorial#119585746|
Hello there. You created a memorial for my father a few days after his burial. I have been trying to contact you numerous times to transfer his memorial to me but I have not heard back from you. Please email me at Barbijone@gmail.com Arthur Petersen is my biological father and he is no relation to you as I am a genealogist and I have not found you in my family tree at all. My dad proudly served in the US Navy and he is buried at Ft Bliss National Cemetary. You have probably never even been to his gravesite. Please explain to me why you want to keep his memorial? Is it for fame points or bragging rights? And you don't even put in all of his vital statistics and connect him to his parents.
I would appreciate hearing back from you on the reason why you cannot transfer my dad to my stewardship so that I can input all of the correct information for my own father.
He had only one sister and I have no siblings so there is no real way that you are closely related to us and 12,000 other people too. -Barbijone@ gmail.com-

You sent me some edits regarding the Ryans in Hillside Cemetery. Are you related?

You send me an edit for Elizabeth Full in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, and since I did not recognize your name I clicked at your profile page. It is well written and I agree with everything you said. Keep up the good work.

|Bill and Denise||RE: Abert W. West|
I found an article online that went back to their buggy days amd they were suing the railroad because it spooked their horse and caused injury to the wife. Fascinating.
|Bill and Denise||Abert W. West|
I called Mission Burial Park North and they confirmed he and his wife were interred on the same day, 28 June 1983, at MBPN. I updated the Find A Grave memorial and then transferred management over to you. You can change any of the bio you want. That sure was an interesting family for sure.

Thanks Joan, for making the changes. I appreciate your help. Best Wishes in your research, Chris

|Lesly||Charles Probandt and Elizabeth Probandt|
Joan, I wanted to let you know that I sent an edit through on both Charles 58471354 and Elizabeth 58471478 memorials to delete Dorothea as their mother. My research for the 1860 and 1870 census and their death certificates show that their mother was actually Bertha Probandt. I'm still trying to find out what her maiden name was and when she died. Dorothea must have married Carl Louis after Bertha passed away. Please let me know if you have questions. thanks, Lesly

|William Sunde||LTC George D. Smith|
The LTC was buried with his wife and I would like to find out if there is any way I can find out when they were married. Is this possible.

Thank you so much for transferring John's memorial.
