This is my Daddy. He was buried in Jacinto Memorial Cemetery in Jacinto City, TX. After the cemetery began to have flooding, in the 1970's, our family moved him to the family cemetery. My husband and I have a double headstone next to my parents.

Thanks. I added the birth date. I made a mistake. Middle name is June. I wish they had added her parent's names so she could be linked to them.

Thanks again. I appreciate your help.

I have a copy of the book: San Augustine County, Texas Cemetery Transcriptions. It is an old book. The Horten (Horton, orig. spelling of last name Haughton) was transcribed many, many years ago. The cemetery transcription was done long before the age of cameras and computers. It was done the old way, with a tablet and pencil. The cemetery was transcribed by someone who had personal knowledge of the cemetery and people buried there.
This is my family cemetery and luckily for me my mother's mind is still sharp as a tack. She recalls attending funerals there at the cemetery. Her Aunt Creassie and Uncle John Horton are buried there in unmarked graves. My mother and I have taken a trip up to the cemetery and she has pointed out their graves. Kennedy Haughton was in Sabine county as early as 1846. His daughter, Manerva Haughton Ellison is buried in the Horten cemetery as well as John Pinkly Haughton, his son, my great-great-grandfather. Manerva is the patriarch mother of the Ellisons'.

Sincerely,

Sheila,

Thank you for Ms Foley's monument pictures. Which husband was she buried beside? Both husbands are buried in this cemetery?
