Bio and Links
Bio Photo Family researcher addict.

Love RVing and yorkies.

Thank you to all the fine FAG volunteers who have seen fit to transfer family memorials to me for my care. I do not delete memorials that are transferred to me, I attempt to enhance them so as to honor the ancestor.

Photos in many cases are those in my possession, please contact me before clicking and claiming, I mean, we might be related! Of course, many of the lovely headstone photos are the work of many volunteers here and you need to ask them to use their photos.

I have taken a number of photos in Baldwin County Alabama cemeteries which I have posted here. I grant permission to any family researcher, or any genealogical or historical society/group in Baldwin County Alabama the use any of the BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA photos . This waiving of copyright and use is only for BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA photos.

You can find a email addy on my blog Reflections From the Fence. Or message me here, I will get notifications, hope to hear from you soon.

Everyone, and I do MEAN EVERYONE, deserves a memorial. Recently I had to delete a memorial on the insistence of a family member. I cried, really, I cried.

I hope I never, ever, have to delete another memorial.

RE: Amanda Lenahan
You are welcome. She is buried in the same lot as Mr. Frank Oscar Carlson and his wife Ida. Any connections?

RE: Vida Tiedemann
Carol,

Thanks so much for the obit for Vida! I had never been able to find one for her, and the information is wonderful to have! I know her nephew will really appreciate seeing it as well. Would you mind if I posted it to her memorial to share with all?

Regarding her burial location, I did happen to find a photo in my records of Vida's and Herbert's gravestone. Her date of birth is on there, but not date of death. This headstone is located in Parkersburg, so I felt it was ok to put her memorial there. I do not know, and the obituary didn't mention, if her body was taken back to Iowa to be buried in that plot with her first husband, or if she was buried with her second husband in Alaska. If I happen to find out that information I will let you know. Also if I find anything on her 2nd husband.

Thanks again for the obit, I'm so grateful to have it.

Vida Tiedemann
Hi Carol,

Thanks for the message. Vida (Voeltz) Lashbrook Tiedemann was my husband's 2nd great grand aunt. Although he never got to meet her, his grandfather (nephew of Vida)told us of her when we were asking about family history. She was married to Herbert Lashbrook, who died in 1927. I don't know when she married William Tiedemann. On the 1940 census, she was still listed as "widowed" and unmarried. She was living in Missouri at that time. My husband's grandpa knew her last name to be Tiedemann when she died. So I looked up on the Social Security Death Index, and found her. She lived to the ripe old age of 101 and died in Alaska. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Susanna Ruthig Otto
Sorry, I can't say where Susanna (ruthig) Otto is buried.
There is a Susannah Otto buried at the Sebringville Cemetery according to the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid (OCFA), but I have no way of knowing if that is the correct Susannah.

RE: Donald Cook
Received call from Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Donald "Ray" Cook was cremated. His remains were buried in Section 8, Lot A226 , Space E. His wife is still living and has a space with him for her remains. There is no marker at all and the manager said all of the surrounding ground is alike and unable to tell a specific burial spot without plotting out the area which they would do for his wife's remains. If there was a gravestone ordered by the family you may want to contact the cemetery at 913-344-7506. Best wishes.
