Family researcher addict.|
Love RVing and yorkies.
Thank you to all the fine FAG volunteers who have seen fit to transfer family memorials to me for my care. I do not delete memorials that are transferred to me, I attempt to enhance them so as to honor the ancestor.
Photos in many cases are those in my possession, please contact me before clicking and claiming, I mean, we might be related! Of course, many of the lovely headstone photos are the work of many volunteers here and you need to ask them to use their photos.
I have taken a number of photos in Baldwin County Alabama cemeteries which I have posted here. I grant permission to any family researcher, or any genealogical or historical society/group in Baldwin County Alabama the use any of the BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA photos . This waiving of copyright and use is only for BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA photos.
You can find a email addy on my blog Reflections From the Fence. Or message me here, I will get notifications, hope to hear from you soon.
Everyone, and I do MEAN EVERYONE, deserves a memorial. Recently I had to delete a memorial on the insistence of a family member. I cried, really, I cried.
I hope I never, ever, have to delete another memorial.

|Morinth||RE: William's will|
Great! I had a feeling the will would make a difference. I'm pretty confident that Mary McClenny Darden of Mississippi is the sister of my ancestor Elijah. I've tried to place as much information as possible in the memorials I've created for William and Elizabeth, and that's why I attached the image of his will. I hope you'll review the will and come to the same conclusion. I understand your approach to linking memorials, I also think it should be done with caution, and only after rigorous research. I've been doing a lot of research on Ancestry, trying to find as many primary and secondary sources to corroborate my research, and also using DNA to verify research. I completely agree with your statement about irresponsible memorial linking. And because of the way Ancestry cross-references Find-A-Grave, those spurious links could easily be used to "prove" relationships that aren't valid. So thanks for being rigorous! :)
