Samuel Harrison Laster
Samuel Harrison is my Great Great Grandfather.
My father was John Allison Laster;
My grandfather was John N. Laster;
My great grandfather was Stephen F. Laster;
My great great grandfather was Samuel Harrison. I have questions about the date of death and the place of death for Samuel Harrison. There is a record of a court case where a Samuel Harrison Laster was murdered in what is now Oklahoma but as Oklahoma was a territory, the location is listed as the place of the trial which was Fort Smith. Some things just don't add up and I am searching for more information.

Allison:
Thank you SO much for moving Riley's memorial. It makes me feel better to have him in the right cemetery! The Teele Family Cemetery and the Graves & Teele Cemetery are two different ones and this has resulted in several memorial being placed in the wrong one. The Teele cemetery where Riley & wife Sarah are buried is only about 3 miles from where I live. It had been overgrown the last few years, but someone cleaned it up last fall. I hope to take more pics when it gets a little warmer.
Thanks again,
Fay

Okay, I went in and manually added. You should get a denial of Change email. That's because if I accepted, it would have deleted the wife who was already there. Not sure what caused your request for wife to be unknown. Honestly never saw like that. Maybe a fluke??? Good luck.

RE: Opal Laster
Just try resending. On my end it has it showing "unknown" for mom on your request so I just put in pending and didn't accept. :-). I haven't seen this before so not sure except to try again. It showed up in red "unknown". ??????? So all I know to do is try again. :-)

At some point it looks like a mom was linked. Now it looks like you want me to link dad. However, with the new way these edits are coming through, I think if I accept it will wipe mom out because you listed as unknown. I'm guessing that's not your intent. Can you try again and just not list anything on mom and we will see what happens. If that doesn't work, you may have to submit with both???? I'm anxious to see what works. :-) thanks.

I could not find a memorial for him? I wonder if you have the same picture I have? I have it on disc someplace?

Rebecca C. Welch Shockley, I just saw where you left flowers!!! She was my Great Great Great Grandmother. (or somewhere in there) I know very little about this side of the family? I also have a picture of her husband someplace? Bright Shockley!!!! I can NOT remember where I got them, but I think my cousin Larry Paul sent them to me. It was good hearing from you, I don't live very far from the cemetery, so it is easy to go there. take care.
