Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have pictures of many complete cemeteries in Illinois. Including these counties.
Grundy,Will,Lasalle,Livingston,Ford,and Kankakee.
I will be glad to find a specific person if you know the cemetery name and I have done that site.

Please excuse if a picture is at a weird angle or some other problem. I have done the best I can under the circumstances.
It may have been to keep my reflection or the sun out of it.
Or I my have had to hold a tree or bush out of the way or even lay on the ground to get the shot.

I pride myself on getting and finding pictures and sites no one else can find or dare go into.

I have crawled through heavy brush and briers. Waded through chest high weeds. Walked miles through nature preserves to find sites. Contracted lyme disease. Braved huge swarms of hungry mosquitos, snakes and every other bug you can think of.

If for any reason you want one of the pictures i posted removed just let me know.

Girot Family Memorial
I am so grateful that you went out and took those beautiful photographs of the Girot Family's resting place - I am friends with Evelyn and Russ' kids, Maggie, Vic, and Tony, and attended both parents' funerals.

What good people they were - and what a legacy of good kids they leave to carry on their values.

God bless you and thanks again from the bottom of my heart !

Stebbins Cemetery near Seneca, IL
Hello Mark,

I am helping a fellow researcher try to find the burial place of a relative of hers. You mention that you have transcribed a lot of cemeteries in the area. I was wondering if you transcribed Stebbins Cemetery near Seneca? If so could you check your listing and see if you have a burial for Andrea Olsen who died in April or May of 1911?

Thank you very much for your help. Have a nice day!!

Best Wishes,
Jen Magers

Odell Illinois Union Cemetery and Enoch Allen
Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.
I now have pictures of my Great Great Great Grandfathers grave, Enoch Allen. Other than my own pictures. His name was Enoch Allen. Married to Maria F. Heath.
My Grandfathers name was Myron Burton Allen. He had siblings. They all are recorded as living in Odell, Illinois in Livingston County.
I have many memories of visiting the family in Odell, and I have a picture of me and my 2nd cousin at Enoch's grave site in Odell. It is the Larger of the two you have pictured. For some reason, I am in the background, looking very uncomfortable. I do remember why. It is because I was told to never step or set foot on a person's grave site, or bad things would happen.
But I am in the picture none the less..
How funny.
Thank you!

Thank you

Thank you so much for taking and uploading that picture. That grave belonged to my great-grandfather who served in WWI. He was born in Illinois but pretty much only spoke Norwegian. My grandmother will appreciate seeing it.

memorial 124055550
Hi Mark. . I believe the date of death on this memorial should be 1885. I know that is the date he died and looking at the photo of the monument with a magnifying glass it looks like it reads 1885.
Thanks Don Knoepfel
