I became interested in genealogy after my father and mother died and began a search of family roots which concluded with a book "The Wilkinsons of Isle of Wight, Surry, and Sussex Counties, Virginia". One of the things that I found is that researchers always like to know where their ancestors are buried. Find A Grave assists in this effort and I am glad to be a part of it. If you wish to edit any of the memorials which I have posted, please use the edit button at the right hand top of the screen and I will repsond in a timely manner.

RE: Eva Dale Harley Cousins
You had only sent edit for her middle initial and I had added her name when I looked up the marriage record so I declined your request since it would have removed the middle name.

May C. R. Wood
I was just wondering if (May C. R. Wood
FAGM# 104401900) her husband Allen A. Wood is on the same tombstone with her?

I believe she died in 1917 because Allen Wood is living with his daughter 1920 as a widower. Daughter Helen Philips.

Thank you,

You are welcome; Blandford is nice to walk around. There are several other cemeteries thrre, but I don't feel so safe by myself!

Hi Wilkie,

You are very welcome! I also looked for Rooker; I found a female with that name, but there weren't any others there.

RE: Joseph R. Tucker
Meant to say...and search by surname at the State level as well....that will reveal duplicates of the same person with matching names/dates within that state.

RE: Joseph R. Tucker
In order to help avoid creation of duplicate memorials, you can double-check by county level when doing a search before creating a new memorial. That is how I found the duplicates I alerted you about. I was doing a surname search by county to see which cemeteries those related surname ancestors might be at within the same county, and the duplicates appeared side by side in the listing that came up. Upon checking those duplicates it is evident it is the same cemetery entered twice with slightly different names. Often cemeteries are known by several different names through the years.

RE: Perkinson/Goodwyn Spouse Link
I have approved the edit. Thank you for the info.
My wife grow up in Dinwiddie and now we live here.
I read your stories attached to the cemeteries and found all very interesting.
I have wondered for a while who "Wilkie" was. You picked up some of the request in Blandford. I loved to go to Blandford, it is so peaceful. Last year I had to stop doing request because of my health.
Thank you for all the work you do for Find A Grave.

Best Regards,
