Born and bred in Battle Creek, MI, I've lived from Boston to San Diego, with stops in Pittsburgh, El Paso, Chicago, Philadelphia, and now in New Mexico. Great memories! My grandfather and all but one of his siblings left Victorian/Edwardian London for jobs in Canada. They ended up all moving to either Battle Creek or Detroit, MI. My wife and I just had some time in Ontario (Jul 2010)where we made grave shots of many of her relatives all around Perth County.|

I was happy to help in finding that grave! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in contributing to this site.

Well, it may have nothing to do with him, but it is the only surviving marker that is in the area of where your great uncle is buried that could perhaps be in the same lot; although, as I noted, I think it is more likely in the neighboring lot. But, it is hard to tell exactly where the lot boundaries are there.

Not sure what else to say about it beyond what I said in the photo caption. The marker for "Emil" is in a location that I think is most likely Lot 11 although it could be Lot 13. None of the names on the plot map correspond with "Emil" but I suppose it could be that what they had written on the plot map as "Emma" was really "Emil". I did take a picture of the marker that I could send you if you want.

Glad to help, thanks for the comments.

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to get the two cemetery listings merged; Valencia Catholic and Peralta Valencia. Then we can go in and change it to the correct name of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. I have a photo of that sign too, but didn't want to add a third name and confuse things more until things were merged. The photos or memorials I've added are from that location. I've been adding them all under Valencia Catholic. Any from Tome, I've added under that cemetery listing. I don't add from online obits or memorials. I walk the cemeteries so if I've added a picture, it means I physically found it in that cemetery.
Thanks again for the info. Hopefully the two will be merged soon!

I saw your request about transferring two memorials owned by my mother, Laura Plummer Ranville, to your ownership. Unfortunately Find a Grave currently won't transfer any of my mother's managed memorials to me, and her account information has been disabled so I can't log in to transfer them. You'll have to email the memorial numbers and your relationship to that person to firstname.lastname@example.org and request the transfer. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get a photo of Mariano Apodaca's grave. I truly appreciate it.

Thanks! Interesting that Mary has her maiden name as her middle name on the grave. I haven't seen that before.

I found these two graves in West Norwood Cemetery, with other family members listed. I have sent you some edits for your Bussy memorials - you will find them under the Edits tab at the top of this page.
