I'm a history/genealogy buff researching my Holcomb and Gossoo ancestors, among others. I have been intrigued by cemeteries ever since I was a kid. I began photographing gravestones when I was a high school student. Many photos of graves in Greene & Ulster County, NY taken over the years. Currently living in Western NY and filling photo requests in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Steuben and Yates Counties. I am working on locating small abandoned cemeteries that are not yet listed on Find-a-Grave, and also graves of veterans from the French & Indian Wars, Revolutionary War, and War of 1812.|
I am happy to transfer memorials or make corrections as needed; use the "Suggest a Correction" link found on the "Edit" tab of any of my memorials.
PLEASE NOTE: If I fill your photo request, I promise not to do any damage to your family member's gravestones. I will not use chalk, shaving cream, or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions.
"People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors."-- Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)
As you visit these virtual graves, have you given any thought to where you will spend eternity? "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" -- Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -- Romans 6:23
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." -- Romans 5:8
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" -- Romans 10:9
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -- Romans 10:13
Have you accepted this gift?==================================

Thanks SO much for the photo of Clyde & Effie's headstone - He was a great-Uncle for whom my father was named - I can't believe it took me over a year to see that you'd done it!

Is any of the information you put in the biographies directly from the cemetery or death records? Or did you rely on historical biographies for the family (like Shirley's Gen. Site)? Thanks again! ~Ev

Hello, I was looking through records you have posted for the Allen Cemetery in Ontario, NY, and the related links. Thank you for creating the memorials, but it appears that you relied on some erroneous data regarding the family relationships. Are you related to this branch of the Allen family (I am)? If you would like to transfer the memorials, I could sort out the links and post supporting documentation, where available. Or, if you are related to them, please let me know how you prefer I submit the edits... as there will be quite a few. Thanks!

Mark, do you have a copy of the Ingraham genealogy you mentioned on the memorial for Anna Leland Ingraham, Find A Grave Memorial# 142448351? I'm still trying to find the parents of my Benjamin 1776-1831.
