I've been an active genealogist for 30+ years. I'm currently researching the surnames Lunsford, Linville, Norris, Ferguson, Meador, Cole, Williams, Tully, Byrn, Greenhaw, Yates, and Morelock.

I'm an avid cemetery transcriptionist simply because I believe everyone deserves to be remembered.

I don't post graves simply for the number of memorials I can stack up. I strive for accuracy, and in particular, finding unmarked graves. If someone is related to any of these memorials, just let me know. I will gladly transfer your family members.

"Show me your cemeteries, and I will tell you what kind of people you have." --- Benjamin Franklin, 1706-1790

RE: Thomas D. Ruffin
Thank you so much, Debbie, for thinking of me and sending his obituary which gives helpful family information. I will make a couple of corrections to his memorial.

Can you tell me where Darthula Paralee Byrn's grave might be located? Hoping to connect Thomas D. Ruffin with his wife. Also thanks for info regarding other children of his.

You have been most helpful ... Pat Iverson

James Spears

I'm no relation to James Spears. My wife works at UTM. Since I'm involved with Find A Grave I had created a virtual UTM Cemetery for employees. I have added James memorial to it. Thanks for adding the bio.

Hello Debbie ... I noticed you left a comment on this memorial page and said, "Rest In Peace, cousin". SO -- I was wondering how you are related to this man? I am always on the hunt for new relatives. He is also a cousin of mine, so wondering how we connect. Thanks ... Pat Iverson

RE: Your BIO
Hi Debbie, thanks for the kind words, it's great to hear from someone who feels too there's more to these deceased than a dead body in a grave. They come alive to me by linking them to each other and researching them. My main focus lately has been to link the families in my trees to each other on Find A Grave who link to me. It seems lately many family members are trying to do the same thru the Edit process too so if some of them have thousands of memorials they claim I'm doing my part to keep them busy, lol, later, Kay.

I noticed that Arthur Harold and Frances Cobb Masterson aren't linked as husband and wife in the Crittenden Memorial Cemetery. Thanks.

Missouri Ann Deckard Sweet (Gibson Bayou)
I don't see my great grandmother listed for Gibson Bayou Cemetery. She was the mother of Maud L. Cook Miller who is at Crittenden Memorial Cemetery. Ann Deckard's first husband was Willis Washington Cook. Maud Cook, my grandmother, was their daughter.

I have a photo of Ann Deckard Cook to post once she's listed. Thanks.

Here's what my mother (Pauline Miller) posted on rootsweb at one time:

SWEET, Missouri Annie DECKARD, born April 15, 1871, Shawneetown, Illinois, died Jan. 21, 1924, Turrell, Ark. buried Gibson Bayou Cemetery.
There is no marker, and exact location is not know but it is within 4 to 6 ft. on either side of the TEETERS double marker, to right of church if facing church. The TEETERS were kin to the SANFORD family that were early settlers around Turrell, Ark.

I have transferred the memorial for James E Lentz per your request. I also added the bio you included. Amazing life history, he sounds like he was quite a man.

Removed mine. More info on the other one. I'm not overly possessive.

Trying to add the memorial pic but Find A Grave being grumpy. Will try again later.
