RE: Pvt Robert H Coleman & Mary Ed, I transferred Robert H Coleman over to you for management. I can't locate Mary or any others you mentioned to add the family link. I had rather you maintain since you are related.
RE: Pierre Thanks for the picture. Sorry you lost your cat. I used to live in Houston but I moved about 400 miles to Oklahoma in 1999. But I might move back to Houston. When I do I am going to take a picture of every pet grave in the cemetery and list them on Find a Grave. Thanks, Ray Cobb
RE: Lyman Faith Stribling There is no other marker in his lot. It has a huge ant colony on the edge, and mostly these turn out to be fire ants; it is not uncommon to see folks sprinkling fire ant killer around the stones. Put another request out later in the year, and annotate the request that you need a better image. I may or may not still be in Bham are next fall.
If you get the location for the others from the office, no problem.
I just happened to see the ones on Block 39 while looking for someone else. If the name is somewhat uncommon I will take the image on spec and xfer to someone who seems to have an interest in the family.
A common request on F A G is "and anyone else with this name in the cemetery." This is impossible on an over 400 acre yard, but can be done in the small cemeteries of less than 100 burials.
It's definitely there; I can see it (actually there are two copies). Sometimes FindAGrave is a little flakey and/or slow and doesn't display what you ask for. In those cases, just hit refresh on your browser (the two arrows going in opposite directions) once or twice and it should come up.
To find something you added recently, go to your profile and click "xxx Memorials Added". When it gives you a list of memorials you added, click on "All Names" in the upper right and choose (for example) "Add in last 24 hours".
To find a specific person that you added, go to your profile and enter the name where it says "Search Contributor's Records".
RE: Loudon Park.......Cunninghams Ahhh, I'm with you now. I can't say that I have much experience with gravestone vendors. Despite my interest in cemeteries and grave hunting, I have very little interest nor sentimentality about my own burial arrangements and have not done any research in that area.
That said, if you need any "boots on the ground", I would be happy to help with inquiries, inspections, confirmations, etc., to make sure that the work is done according to your specifications.
No problem at all. Aside from the fact you are related to him, your memorial/bio is much better; he sounds like quite a character! I deleted my memorial and uploaded the photos to yours.
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking in regard to your aunt and uncle. Are you referring to Jack and Lucille? Their graves are marked and the photos are on the FindAGrave memorials. Or are you referring to someone else?
RE: Bayles, etc. You sent me a connecting message last March, and I'm so sorry I did not respond then. My first cousin married William Bayles, an adopted son (we believe) of Frederick Francis Bayles. Can't tell you how excited I was to finally follow-up on one of the over 700 messages I had accumulated via findagrave to see the many photos you've posted. I collect old photos, retouch them to remove blemishes, and archive them in the form of a pdf page with captions. Are you willing to share scanned images with me of any you have posted? I can make the best use of original-sized (the larger the better) images. Please let me know, and thanks for the information you've posted already. Jerry. email@example.com
