Bio

Hi,
I am Peggy Ann Rowe-Snyder. I am contributing here because I believe in respecting those who came before me and to teach my kids about community service in all it's forms!

I've been into genealogy and history since I was about 15 when Root's came on TV. I'm a member of several historical societies, and genealogical societies. I am former President of the Douglas County Historical Society, Douglas County, Oregon. I co-edited, wrote, and laid out the Umpqua Trapper for about ten years. I have written some successful grants and got the society just about 40K for the preservation and conservation of the museum and artifacts. I just really get into this. You can email me at [email protected]

For several years I had been taking pictures of headstones and donating them all over the place. But this place is the best, and from now on my photos will go here. I loved what I found for my family members here too... It was quite nice.

I am very aware that these memorials are a work in progress as new and more complete information comes to light. Please feel free to send corrections & additions. If a memorial of mine is a family member of yours, do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.

I'm glad to be a part of the community!
