Bio and Links
Bio Photo Note: If you have no way for someone to leave a message I will not add any information. Also I will not make links to a burial unknown unless it is a cremation, etc. that goes by Find A Grave guidelines. What I mean by that is older burials, before cremation, that are unknown and are not in a cemetery.

I believe the ones who have left this life need to be remembered however great or small. Findagrave is a great place to do that with a memorial for them. Linking a family together is truly a great thing to do. Although optional I believe a photo of their marker, a photo of the person, or a little information about the person really adds to the memorial. A flower, flag, ribbon or a note also adds to the memorial.

A lot of the information I enter is from death certificates, from birth indexes, from census records, and from social security death indexes. Some of this information can be wrong. If you find any errors let me know. I want correct information. If you see duplicate memorials let me know. If you have any information about the people I have entered that you want me to add let me know. If you want a person linked to their parents or spouse let me know.

NOTE: Please use the edit button in the upper right hand corner of the memorial page to send corrections, additional information and link requests.

You can use my photos on your family trees. I used to think differently about that but as I get older I see things a little differently now. They are just photos but they can mean a lot to people who can't get to where their family members are resting.

These memorials are not our memorials, they belong to Findagrave. We are just contributors who add the memorials and information and then manage them. Thank you Findagrave for the greatest website on the internet and for letting us be a part of this great website.

RE: Cedar Creek
Thank you for the reply. It appears the church has a rural route address, so I hope I can find directions. Marg and I completed photographing all headstones at Galilee AME. In trying to find parental links is how I discovered Cedar Creek on a family members DC.

Would love to find the cemetery, photograph it and add to Findagrave.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Cedar Creek
Hello Julious,

I would like to add a memorial page for Pleasnt Ann (Jackson) Richardson. She died in 1969 and the DC says she is buried t Cedar Creek, Anson County. Do you know if African Americans are buried at Cedar Creek Meeting House and if not, do you know where another Cedar Creek is in Anson County.

Please let me know when you have time.

Thank you,

Vicky Matlock

Thank you for your response. I am just getting a chance to look at this now. I have crossed some wires somewhere, because although these might be my people, it is a different generation! I have a feeling James Goodwin re-married after my great great grandmother Mary Jane Polson Goodwin passed, maybe? Don't have the dates in front of me, but we have no information on our James, like a date of death or anything else. Thank you for your help, and I hope the public responses/postings have not been a problem.

Really? Wow! And do you mind if I ask what sister's name is given? We are finding out more info on this gang all the time, but Mary Jane Polson's mother was Eliza Brown before she married. I'm confused. Haha

Wanted to ask if you could check into the parents listed on this one? His parents were James Goodwin and Mary Jane Polson. Mary Jane's mother was Eliza, so that would be his grandmother, not his mother.

Thank you!
